We contacting an internet source that provided us with multiple Moving Companies to quote our move.  After receiving competitive quotes we selected Interstate Moving and Relocation.

Brian worked with us to make sure quote was correct and dates were set.  Our critical date was the delivery.  My Son, recently discharged from the Marines, was accepted to complete college in California requiring a Cross Country move.  His classes begin on Tuesday Sep 22, 2009 requiring all his musical instruments to be on hand for recitals and placement testing.

To accomplish this Brian counted the Contractual +/- 2 days plus the 7 days coast to coast time frame to select our pickup date.  Furniture and instruments were picked up on time as contracted on Sep 10, 2009 by 101 Movers (Local Company secured by Brian).
Our furniture was picked up in Boiling Springs, SC and driven 8 hours to Durham, NC.  8 days later, the furniture is still in storage at a Durham, NC site.  The local mover said their contract was with Brian and did not include any time frame.

The local Mover stated that they had one truck that traveled coast to coast, once a month.  And we missed the pickup date by a couple of days (Remember Brian established the pickup date to meet our delivery need).  We asked for some kind of expected delivery date and 101 Movers told us they did not have a date yet.

We have made multiple attempts to call Brian.  We have made multiple email attempts to contact Brian.  We by email agreed to extend the delivery date until Sep 21st.

Brian has not responded to one of my email attempts since the furniture was picked up.  The fact that we know the furniture will not be there for another week at best is frustrating, but realizing there is no even planned delivery date and the Representative for Interstate Moving and Relocation will not even answer his phone or an email more disconcerting.

We paid $260 upfront as a deposit to have Brian coordinate our move.  Our contract stated a time frame with fluctuation.  Both of these items are in dispute.  We are disputing the required deposit paid to Interstate with our Credit Card Company for the above reasons.

While our son sleeps on the floor, has no clothing and his College recitals and placement testing will occur with his instruments in storage across the country.  Brian's inability to coordinate our move per his contract have jeopardized my son's college career and potentially cost my son additional cost.

Not to mention the emotional distraught caused by Brian's unprofessional behavior towards a paid customer.

Almost a month later no furniture

AUTHOR: David Lowrey - (USA)

POSTED: Wednesday, October 07, 2009

It has almost been a month since our furniture was picked up by the local firm Brian hired.

My son is still sleeping on the floor.

He still has no furniture.

He still has no clothing.

His still has no musical instruments.

College started with no clothing and no way to audition or practice.

He had to buy a piano to practice with and washed his two sets of pants and shirts.

We disputed the Credit Card payment paid to Brian and received a credit.

Minor triumph, when you compare against the inconvenience.

Had Brian told us it would be a month,........returned a phone call, or an email,........

But once he received his payment  we were an afterthought.

Do not use anyone claiming to be Interstate moving and relocation or Federal Moving with a person named Brian.
