Ripoff Report's discussions with Iyer Health have uncovered an ongoing dedication by the company to total client satisfaction. This means that clients can expect that the company will work towards finding a mutually satisfactory resolution to any concerns. Iyer Health listens carefully to client concerns and sees them as an opportunity to learn from past mistakes and become more efficient as a company in the services offered and the support for those services.

Iyer Health’s Management Raymond Giudici informed us that they are focused this year on client relations even more than new prospects or sales. This is all part of the stratigy for building a long term business.



The information provided in this report below is based on comments made by Raymond Giudici during an onsite inspection held by a third party verification company with no biases towards Iyer Health.

Iyer Health is a call center that sells medical insurance, mainly major polices that are ACA compliant. Raymond Giudici stated the following about his company, "our vision of course is to expand slowly. We always want to improve our customer service and basically help folks navigate the kind of complicated medical insurance process."

Leads for Iyer Health are purchased from several different lead sources. Mr. Giudici stated the following in regards to the sales process once a client has expressed interest, "I have licensed agents...they find out what the customer is looking for, what their medical needs are, what their budget is, then they agree upon a plan. Then once they agree, if the person wants to buy it, we then do a third party verification, where everything is explained to the consumer, what they are buying, what the disclaimers are. And then we also email disclaimers, and then we mail documents too. Every customer gets a phone conversation, an email confirmation, and then everything gets mailed to them."



CUSTOMER CARE & COMPLAINT RESOLUTION – IYER HEALTH

During the onsite interview Mr. Giudici was asked to describe a situation where a client was not satisfied with the level of service they received. Mr. Giudici expressed that there company grew very quickly, and "we had more agent than we had customer service." In order to remedy this, "what we have done specifically is we have a smaller level of agents, and we have added customer service agents. So we have almost doubled our customer service." He additionally stated, "you know every time a customer calls and they get through right away. They are much happier so any customer that called and had a long hold time, now that doesn't happen."

When asked to comment on complaints posted on Ripoff Report's website Mr. Giudici explained that the comments were created by a client who claims what she purchased was not fully expressed to her, "I am not sure how the person was confused as what they bought. We take all those steps to make sure they know, and we sell everything here, we sell fixed benefits, limited benefits, we sell major medical, we sell ACA compliant plans. " He additionally stated, "I believe that person bought a discount plan, but thought it was something more comprehensive. So you know again the agents do the best that they can do explaining it, but the third party verification confirms what they purchased." In order to further assure future and current clients every product Iyer Health sells is from a licensed company and all agents are licensed as well.

When asked what type of changes they have made to honor their commitment to make things right with the consumer per the request of Ripoff Report, Mr. Giudici stated, "we feel like customer service is very important and we have dealt with that by adding customer service. We have added a queue system so that people don’t wait on hold as long, we also allow customers to email us questions or concern. We also have a voice mail that as soon as they leave a voice mail the very next morning there is one girl who works those complaints as well. So customers have a number of ways of getting any concerns to us now."

Health Shield trolls the internet looking for people who are trying to enroll in health care via the new health exchanges. I was sold a "Gold PPO from United Healthcare with $) decuctible for a total of $229.00 a month for my daughter. Once giving my financial information what I actually received was not from United Healthcare, and not a PPO. In fact it was not even insurance at all. It was a membership to some sort of health discount club. When I tried to call the "insurance Agent" back,  no one would pick up. I filed a fraud report with the FBI and will be contacting the Pennsylvania Attorney General and filing fraud reports there as well. It was definitely NOT a misunderstanding rather out and out fraud.

 Our company has successfully enrolled thousands of people in Many types of plans including ACA Major Med plans, Short Term Major med, accident, Health care co- op care and so on.

 We are concerned by even a small number of complaints we take them seriously and will rectify what ever issue any consumer faces.

 Also please note that during open enrollment different plans arrive at different times and many people receive only a supplemental plan before they receive their primary insurance. It takes time to get your primary insurance and that is out of our control.

Lyer is a good name for these guys

This was NOT a simple misunderstanding. They never answered the phone when I called, When I canceled over the "customer service" email box, they sighed their name XXXXXXX, I had to cancel my Credit card and open a dispue process to get my money back (still waiting).

These guys are scammers and crooks. Be advised.
