Jacob Barbosa, the self-proclaimed founder of Tequila G4, Wansas Tequila and Lakeshore Spirits is in the midst of a growing fraud by raising funds from investors, not to fund his (now defunct) spirits business, but to fund his lavish lifestyle.

The company used by Jacob Barbosa to raise investment, Lakeshore Spirits LLC, was dissolved in 2015 following a suit by one of Barbosa's earlier investors to recoup $50,000 of lost investment (a suit Barbosa would later lose, yet which is still unresolved as he has yet to repay any funds). Despite this, Barbosa continues to use the name Lakeshore Spirits LLC to conduct business and seek further investment.

At the center of Barbosa's fraud are a series of fraudulent documents used to mislead investors and otherwise make his illegal operations seem legit. In my case, Barbosa used a fabricated purchase order claiming $267,000 of revenue to be paid, yet which was never authorized by the agent listed on the order (as was confirmed in direct conversation with that agent).

After further digging, it was discovered in conversation with a supplier of his that Barbosa has raised over $300,000 from "investors" and was continuing to use the Tequila G4 brand (one in which he is simply a customer, and otherwise not involved), as well as other brands, to steal funds from would-be investors. On top of this, Barbosa owes Tequila G4 over $90,000 for a truckload shipment that has as of now yet to be paid.

Where has all this money gone? According to Barbosa's Instagram account (which until recently was brazenly public), he's living a luxurious lifestyle in southern California, driving around a brand new Range Rover, following his relocation from Chicago. Clearly, he's doing quite well for himself despite having ZERO legitimate business operations.

BEWARE of this fraud. He is actively seeking money from every person with whom he gets in touch. The clamps are tightening and he's becoming more and more desparate. DO NOT FALL FOR HIS CON.
