JAMES JIM LIME, TIMOTHY TIM LIME LIMEAID JDL AIR CONDITIONING AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE NOW Ripped me off, damaged my home & urinated in my attic! Sun City, Surprise Arizona

I had a new RUUD brand, AC heatpump system installed a year ago by a company in Sun City going by the name JDL air conditioning, Arizona ROC license # 180410 as well as the name AIR CONDITIONING SERVICE NOW that is owned by James (Jim) Lime and his son Timothy (Tim) Lime.

During the course of the job, they damaged my new (2 week old) roof, but promised to repair it. When I asked them when, they became upset and REFUSED to pay to repair the roof damage, stating that they were "helping me" and then said they would rip the AC unit off my roof if I didn't pay them in full even though the job wasn't finished NOR were the repairs made.

They also failed to replace my wiring from the thermostat to the AC unit, even though that was part of the job and even listed in the work order/estimate. My roofing company came out and took care of the damage that Jim Lime and Tim Lime SHOULD have done and I put the ordeal behind me (or so I thought)

My system stopped working December 5th 2008, and I called this outfit to see if they would honor their warranty, since that was part of their obligation. The son, Timothy Lime answered and said he would come out that same day and check it out.

Tim Lime came out and informed me that his father's company went bankrupt, but that he (Tim Lime) had a new AC business business called LIMEAID Arizona ROC license # 249508 and that he was honoring his dad's warranty obligations and taking care of his customers, since Tim was the salesman for his father's company at the time.

During Tim's time at my home, he was repeatedly saying such things as: "I'm not getting paid for this one" and "I'm not making any money here" which I realized, was his way of trolling for a monetary handout for the warranty work that was supposed to be done as part of my warranty contract.

The thing is, I had to play "assistant" for him since the problem with my system seemed to be quite confusing ti him AND I ended up letting him use MY tools and supplies, since he did not have the proper equipment with him to perform service work.

I held ladders for him, let him use MY tools, gave him new batteries for his flashlight and even had to give him a simple fuse that ANY other AC man would have had on his truck.

In the end, he had to replace my wiring from the thermostat to the unit that should have been done a year ago, BUT in the process he damaged my roof (again) knocked holes in my bathroom and hallway ceiling, damaged some framing in my attic AND even broke some of my tools.

When I asked about the repair of what he had damaged, He initially said he had a "guy" that he would send out to repair the holes in my drywall. When I later asked for details on when the drywall guy would be out and paid, he became VERY angry, saying that he wasn't paying for the repair, just setting me up with a drywall contractor that I would have to hire.

He then stated that all the damage he had done to my home and tools was "just a "normal" part of the job" and that I should be happy that he even came out. Then, he started going on about how he was upside down in his home, and nobody was helping him or his dad with a bailout, that HE didn't own a nice car, etc.

What all this had to do with my damaged home and tools I have NO idea, but when I reminded him about my broken my tools I let him use, as well as the help and materials I had to render for him to use, he LITERALLY threw a twenty dollar bill in my face and told me that my warranty was "VOID" then left.

I realized at this point, that I needed to inspect the work he had done in my attic and I found that not only was the new wiring not sealed properly at the roof to prevent the rain from getting in, he had also made splices in the wiring that were not properly done AND the most disgusting find, was that he had URINATED IN MY ATTIC!

That's right! He had full access to my two bathrooms while he was at my home, but chose to do something so low class as this, which shows just how he conducts his business!!

I have photo evidence of the damage, substandard work and urination damage to give the ROC & states AG office. I have SINCE found out that JDL air conditioning had TWO open complaints with the Arizona registrar of contractors when their license was suspended.

Tim Lime told me he had PAID his father for the company phone number, so as to have access to the 3500 customer base his father had files on. This allows him access to other homeowners who need warranty work done, only to find him trying to get them to pay him money for warranty and service work they have already paid for as part of their contract.

When others fail to fall for this, I'm sure they get the same shabby treatment as I did. For instance, while he was at my home, he got a call from a customer of his father's and he asked if it was a call for new work or warranty work, as well as where they were located. When the woman told him her location, and that she was a warranted customer, he told her that his father's company was bankrupt and that she was too far for him to make a service call.

This "system" allows him to cherry pick his way through his father's customer list, trying to make a quick buck without having any accountability, since he also ignored my repeated requests for a business card or paperwork to verify his new business and I'm sure he does the same with everyone he deals with.

Since then, I have contacted the RUUD company, and had his father's business DE-LISTED from their website, and am in the process of filing complaints with the BBB and Registrar of contractors as well as other online agencies. I strongly encourage all other customers who have problems with Limeaid, JDL air conditioning and Air Conditioning Service Now to do the same, because if we don't fight back, THEY WIN!

After all this transpired, I called Protection Plus, the company that I had paid James Lime an additional $400 for a 10 year extended warranty, since I knew I would have to rely on them for service from now on, ONLY to discover that he had also NEVER listed me with them and instead, kept my $400.

Protection Plus instructed me to file with the Arizona states attorney's office in hopes of having criminal charges filed in this matter. I STRONGLY encourage everyone who thinks they have an extended warranty for any service work done by James OR Tim Lime, to call and make sure that their extended warranties are actually in effect, and to file with the Arizona AG's office if they were not paid.

When I see Tim Lime's affiliation with clubs such as team horizon and speedworld rc flyers, I can't help but think that they should be very concerned with the type of person they are linked with.
