I received a letter of notification as a winner in publisher clearing house online sweepstakes. Enclosed was a check for 2988.35 which did as instructed and deposited in an account which I opened with the check,and it bounced!!!
I can get no answers, or assistance from cynthia jacob, and now I have to pay the banks over draft fees as well. The "rubber check, #6964965," is written on a Johnson controls inc corprate account.

You got hit by the Sweepstakes Scam

Even though they claimed to be with PCH, they were not - the whole point was to steal your money. If you had contacted PCH directly and not the scammers - PCH staff would have told you it was a scam.
(You look up the correct number on the internet or the real PCH website and not use the one provided)
JC Financials is also either a bogus company name or a STOLEN company name used to make them appear legitimate.
You know you could have asked your bank to check it out (without depositing) and they would have told you it was bogus.
The Check itself was the GIANT RED FLAG- no one sends you a check to pay taxes with - they take those first in legitimate sweepstakes.
The 2nd red flag - was the requirement to wire the money back - You cannot get the money back and no one will ever answer the phone or emails
The whole thing was a scam and has been posted on all the internet complaint boards for some time now.
