Jim Walters ripoff accusations of slander by Jim Walters Shreveport Louisiana

My one regret in the last few years is that i did not know about this web site. I would not have signed the papers on a jim walters home. Going by some of the stories i have read i do not have as many problems as some people. first of my wife and i signed papers for a house on march 3 of 2005, we had a few problems with consruction. but nothing major other than it was not finished until jan of 2006.

I got demoted at my job in which i took a substantial pay cut. so to ease our bills my wife let her suburban to go back, as to pay our nearly 900 dollar house note. i have since regained my position at another company. during these last few months we fell a month behind.
this last month {july} scott graham in shreveport la. called my wife and told her that jim walters where going to forclose on our house if we did not pay our late note and our current note in 4 days. the bad part was that our current note was not due for another week. i have 3 daughters under the age of 4 they had to eat so that friday i got paid i could only send 1 note, in two weeks we would pay the next one being it would not be but one week late. on monday scott called and said the office in florida would not accept the last months payment until i sent the current months payment, BY THE NEXT DAY!!! or they would forclose.

I had to barrow the money to pay the note, no big deal i paid it back on my next check. my father inlaw also has a jim walters home so he called to explain that what they tried to do was sh***y and that he would not encourage any one else to buy a jim walters home and that he would have nothing good to say about jim walters.
the next day scott graham called my wife and told her that if I ever called to complain about anything, they would sue me for harassment, threats, and slander. NOT MY FATHERINLAW, ME!!

The problem with this is that we have had a few problems with our house now that we have lived in it since jan. they have attempted to fix a few things before but not all of them. now i fearful of calling to have anything looked at.
