Jimmy Thompson Carpentry work, paid for materials work never completed & materials not given to us Middletown Delaware

We hired Jimmy Thompson to build bookcases for us (9'h by 10')in late November 2005. In January 2006, despite repeated requests for the completion of these shelves, they were not completed. At that time I asked for the materials, so that my husband could complete the shelves. I told Jimmy I understood if he was too busy to do the shelves, and there would be no hard feelings.

After more then 2 weeks of phone calls, and appointments to get the materials we paid for (Jimmy never showed), we said we would call the police for theft. Jimmy had the nerve to threaten my husband, and stated "You do not know who your are dealing with!"

We finally got some of the material ($155 worth, that left another $269 unaccounted for). We tried to get the remaining materials. Which of course was difficult. When my husband finally picked up what Jimmy had put together--it was only a 5' by 8' without shelves. (I could have done a better job). It was obviously scrap wood Jimmy just slapped together. So he basically got away with stealing $269 from us!

I have found out that we are not his only victims, and I am sure he will continue with this con. DO NOT HIRE THIS MAN TO DO ANY WORK IN YOUR HOME.

I found out that he worked in another friend's home, and my friend gave Jimmy his credit card to purchase materials. My friend said Jimmy used his credit for personal purchases of gas and restaurants.

I also discovered that Jimmy had done work at Klondike Kate's restaurant, and had stolen a power washer from them. Consequently Klondike Kate's fired him, and did not pay him for the rest of the job.

Jimmy was also supposed to complete a floor in a local liquor store. He walked of the job in the middle of the night without warning or explaination.

Again, do not let this man doing any work for you. These are just a few examples. He is a thief, and the work he manages to eke out is so pathetic it is unusable.
