My significant other hired JK Harris & Co to represent him in an IRS matter in which he owed around $11,000.
He paid them $3,300 up front and was promised that they would stop any penalties or collections and reduce the debt significantly.
This past Friday (7/25/08) he was notified by JK Harris & Co, that the IRS has notified them that they are going to levy our bank account and turn him over to collections.
The debt is now significantly higher than it originally was and JK Harris states that they can only "maybe help by $1,000." This took over a year to find out.
This doesn't sound like they are doing their job to us.
Most times he tried to contact his "Case Specialist" he was unable to and his messases were left unanswered.
This is no way to do business.

JK harris & Co uses press releases to advertise on the internet. The press releases are lies and false advertising. Take jK Harris & Co to small claims court in your state. Peter has some good insight on how to win in small claims court. If the IRS levies your bank account, I would definitely take them to small claims court. I was reading a press release written by Josh Baker of JK Harris & Co. In that press release, JK Harris supposingly helped a Massuchusets man get money redeposited after it was taken thru a bank levy. This was a lie since the IRS does not redposit money back into bank accounts. JK harris failed to stop a levy which was a reason you had hired them. I would take them to small claims court before this company is exposed and shut down. Good luck.
