I worked a little over a month as an owner-operator for jt trucking out of eagle idaho. I was very happy in the previous company, but was promised more money. They had the nerve to state that i would make more money than anybody in the country, and they mentioned lots of dedicated runs they owned, which paid over 3 dollars a mile. I never saw such loads, and would always be lied to, as to why i never run them. I started worrying after 2 weeks of not getting paid, and started asking questions, but would always be lied to with stories of all kinds. I demanded my money and settlements for my loads I ran for them after they kept me sitting for 2 days without fuel. I got the email on my phone, and i almost had a stroke, the settlement stated I had been paid in full. I stop running for them, and have trying to find a way to collect payment, but am stuck between a rock and a hard place, since i still have a family that depends on me. I can not believe a company from a small town in idaho could do this!!, but times are not what they used to be. This company decided to disregards my family's well being, and am very angry that they have put my financial status in very high danger, to benefit themselves. I would appreciate any advice very much.

The situation with this driver is both sad and unfortunate. The first eight loads that he drove were all delivered on-time and we were extremely happy with his performance. (Obviously we were paying him as he continued to drive for us.)
We received a call from him during his ninth load asking if we would provide him an advance on future loads to pay some personal bills which were due. Based upon his excellent performance, we broke one of our own rules and gave him a few thousand dollars. In addition, we advanced him another $2,050 for fuel for the trip.
This is when something went wrong. He contacted us demanding more money or he would not deliver the load. We were shocked and offered up all the bank transactions as support that he had in fact, been overpaid due to the advance for his personal bills. We even paid him on a load before he had submitted the final BOL.
He refused to drive without getting more money and took the load hostage, he drove it to his house and threatened to let the reefer run out of fuel and spoil the load. We had been working with the broker and at this point, they tried to work with him directly. They later called back to tell us that his wife told them he had been admitted to the hospital and had a nervous breakdown. Another company was finally dispatched to take over and deliver the load. Obvoiusly, we did not get paid on the load and lost over $4,000 that we had paid out for fuel, advances, wire fees, etc.
This review is disturbing in a number of ways. It is slanderous and incorrect in the basic statement that we owe him money, when in fact, he owes us over $4,000. It also calls into concern how his recovery is coming.
I hope this helps shed light on the above review. We also send out our sincere best wishes for his recovery. As I stated earlier, he was a wonderful driver for us and we hope he can be again for someone.
