I bought a package to trace IP's because I was having trouble with an ex breaking in my computer. So I bought Visualware PL v2 Advanced Addition 1 User for the special price off of their website of a total of $26.90 When the Lisence Keys were emailed to me they didn't work. I emailed support and David Palmer told me to cut and paste to Key (this key is 32 symbols long) and I did. I did that 20 more times too. After a whole day back and forth he left me with the situation unresolved.

Finally the software would not work without the key. So I emailed support again only to get his wife Juliann. Juliann forwarded my emails to David Palmer her husband and she did the exact same bad customer service he did. They asked me to send them the error message I was receiving when I put the key in. I told them the error I was receive was, "Invalid Syntax". After that I don't hear anything from them. NOTHING! ZERO! ZIP! And, I need this software. Come to find out these people are in England!

So I went to http://download.visualware.com and try to just buy a new package (for $80.00 more now) and they wouldn't take my credit card that has no balance on it. Then they wouldn't take my ATM Visa and I have money in the bank. So these guys either (a) made a mistake on the price and now they don't want to honor the contract or (b) they got nasty about the whole thing and blocked me.

I asked for refund and they said no. Now I am forced to file a dispute through my bank and that can be an ongoing and annoying process too.

If you buy anything over the Internet and are looking for a company that will give you customer support FORGET IT. DON'T WALK AWAY FROM THEM ...RUN. They act like you are a theif or stupid or both.

Not an experience I had, at all.

My rebuttal is based on my positive experience as a customer. I had no idea that this issue existed, but had such a positive/good experience with Julian I wanted to respond with my experience. 


Several days ago I purchased two packages from the company and had no issues whatsoever with my serial numbers/activation. I really enjoyed the software and felt the desire to respond with some future feature requests.

Upon making the feature requests, both Julian and Daniel responded far and above the call of duty to help me troubleshoot the issue I was attempting to diagnose.  We've interacted several times and they've even gone to the extent of setting up a custom test for me. 

I received such great customer service, above and beyond what was expected, that I searched google to see what other experiences were out there and found this post. 

Unfortunately the person who posted the original complaint did not have a positive experience. I am not rebutting that experience in any way, but felt like I should offer my experience to let people know I had no such experience.

Visualware Comes Through with Flying Colors

After the initial problem I had with the license keys not working I was about to give up. I called the support center in Virginia, USA, and they called Julian.

Julian was very helpful. He stayed on the phone with me on an overseas call from London and went through EVERYTHING. We found a couple of unusual problems that were at hand. First off, there was a program running and it was hidden so it did not show on the bottom bar of my computer screen that it was on. Julian had me hit the ALT-TAB keys at the same time and low and behold there was a Visualware Program running that we did not know about.

Julian is very well spoken and I could detect highly educated. He explained every single step slowly and accurately. Julian went through everything with a fine tooth comb. Excellent communicaton skills and outstanding computer skills.

I want thank Julian for helping me install the Visualware Program. I would like to ad that in the past I had no problems installing Visualware and I would buy it again.

Juliann Palmer emailed me from the airport right after I posted this complaint. Poor little Juliann, she has to catch a flight to England. WHY IS THAT MY PROBLEM? If you can't handle the job Juliann move over and let real woman do the job. She said she was to busy flying to keep up with all the customer complaints she getting. POOR BABY!

So why is she emailing me to begin with? What an idiot. To top it all off SHE SENT ME ANOTHER FALSE LICENSE KEY. This reminds me of The Three Stooges or something. What a bunch of wasted time! DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CLOWNS.
