Just Brakes-Lemmon Ave in Dallas I called to get the price for replacing my brake pads, I was told $99.88, I told them the year, make and model for my car, and said I wanted to confirm the $99.88 included my car, "Frank" said "yes, i Bait and Switch Dallas Texas

I called Just Brakes on Lemmon Ave to get a price for replacing the pads on my car, I was told $99.88, I told "Frank" that I wanted to confirm that price was for my specific car, and gave him the year, make and model, he said "yes, $99.88"

When they were inspecting my brakes someone in the waiting room said he came in for a $99 brake job, and it was costing over $300, so I knew I was in trouble.  i went out and they said I had special pads,  and they were having to get a price for them, etc etc.

I said that Frank had told me it was $99.88 for my car, the manager "Elvis" (the name on his shirt anyway) said that isn't possible, they always say for most cars, etc.  I told him I had a recording of the phone call, and Frank said my car would be $99.88.

At that point "Elvis" got hot, he told me I couldn't legally record a phone conversation without telling the other party, his dad was an attorney and he knew that (don't know what law school he went to, but that is not the law in Texas",,this escalated to a big argument with Elvis trying to intimidate me with his size (big fat guy),,I got irate and told him to go to hell and get my car put back together,,then he said my money wasn't good enough for them, etc (which I didn't care, I had already  told them to put my wheels back on.

This place takes advantage of people that won't stand up to them, and then gets hostile if you do...I wonder how many people on fixed income they rip off everyday,,I hope they sleep at night.

I am taking the recording of the phone call and turning it over to the attorney general's office, along with a recording of part of the argument with "Elvis" (I have to laugh every time I write his name,,what attorney names their son "Elvis".

People that do business like this shouldn't be allowed to stay in business, I hope the other locations aren't as bad, but from what I've read, they might  be...nothing but a bait and switch!
