I just noticed this website and have already written several latters regarding this incident. So instead of re-writing another letter I am pasting in the actual letter I sent to Just brakes customer service. The person I dealt with actually did call but obviously could never give me back my or my co-workers wasted time and effort and may no effort to deny my claims.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I just returned from a 45 minute round trip to your Grapevine, Texas location and accomplished absolutely nothing. I believe your company is conducting deceptive trade practices considered illegal by the US department of commerce. After hearing about 100 times how cheap, great ,and customer friendly your service is I called the Grapevine location to ask about service.
The FIRST thing they asked me was what type of car I have and when I told them they said no problem it would be $100. It is a 2000 Nissan Maxima by the way. They asked me when I would like to bring it in we set up a time and I was there right on time with a co-worker to take me back to the office. First thing this "Just Brakes" employee says is he needs to check and see if they carry my break pads. I SAID "I hope you have it because after driving 20 minutes to get here and having a co-worker leave work to follow me here and after you confirming what type of car I have and telling me to bring it in I would assume you have the parts. He checks and of course does not carry pads for a 2000 Nissan Maxima, even though it has been around for almost 3 years and is one of the top selling cars in the world and the name of your company is "JUST BRAKES'.
When I asked why he had done this he said it would just be too much trouble to check the parts for someone making an appointment. He even laughed when he said it Let's see.....to much F#@%ing trouble. It took him about 30 seconds to check part availability while the whole thing to me and someone else took 45 minutes plus gas expenses. I want to know is this what you consider good customer service. I bet you would have no customers if people knew how they would be treated before going to one of your rip off business.
Also, it was pretty obvious that the real reason he did not check was so that he could get me up there and then I would just accept the extra 80$ for the service and he never had any intent of giving me a $99 break job. That is called bait and switch by the US government and is illegal. It is also pretty obvious that a company called "Just Breaks" should carry the pads for one of the most popular breaks in existence and not charge extra.
Obviously I am also a victim of "False advertising" which is also illegal by the way. The story does not even end here. He tells me I can go buy the parts and bring them in. Funny how he was to stupid to acknowledge that any auto parts store around that dopes not even specialize in brakes will carry the part that your break specializing company mysteriously does not carry. When I asked him what discounts I would get for doing this he tells me none. Then as I am walking out the door he tells me, "Oh yeah, and we won't warranty it either" it just keeps getting better and better with you guys. what is your explanation of this employees attitudes and your companies dishonest business practices?
By the way my next letters will be to the department of commerce, the better business bureau, and the attorney general. I am sure you get letters like this all of the time based on the way you conduct your business and you just blow them off. The difference between me an other people is I will be following through and I will make it my mission to convince as many people as possible not to ever consider your services again. To that end my co-worker and me have already let at least 100 people in this office know not to go to you and the fun has just started. One more thing, if you claim this is an isolated incident and due to employee error( we both know that is not true) Then feel free to fire Richard(he was a large hispanic person with many tattoos) for doing an extremely poor job and making your company look bad.
