Justin Lanno Fraud, Threatening, Failure to provide service he took deposit for Internet Connecticut

I met with Justin Lanno on 4/30/2013. At that time I wanted him to build a website for me. We met and he seemed to know what he was doing and even showed me some sites he supposedly built. I gave him a deposit of $175 and signed a contract with him to start the site I wanted built. A week went by and Justin contacted me saying that I needed to put the website onto an independent server and that the hosting I had wouldn't be sufficient for the site he claimed he already designed. He offered $50 off the price because he was sorry he didn't inform me of needing this from the beginning. I told him that if it was necessary than there was nothing I could do other than go ahead and put out more money.

I informed him I would not have the money right away and would be able to have it in a couple of weeks. He said it was no problem and that he would the  money up and I would pay him. I agreed to this. I also asked him to show me some progress he had made on my site and his response was that he couldn't do so without the other hosting but he would be able to send me pictures of the designs he had thus far. I waited for him to respond and after a few days I heard nothing. I tried to call him again and he told me he didn't have the money to put up for the server as he said he would. I then told him that if he couldn't do it, we would have to put everything on the hosting I currently have and to design it without whatever it was that was causing the issue to begin with.

He claims "that would be a nightmare" because he claims he already did all the work. Now if all this work was already done, why can I not see it? I then told him that since I don't have more money for another server that my only option would be to eliminate what was causing the site to not be compatible with the hosting I currently have. I feel as though I am within my rights of the contract I signed with him to be able to use the hosting I already have and that  I should at least be able to see some progress in the site. If he was going to have to do any more work that required me paying him more money, he should have told me this before he started doing the work.

Not assume I would just put out more money. His contract states that 7 days from the date the contract commences he is to show me some progress. I have not seen any work or samples. Per his contract, I am able to terminate the aggreement I have with him in writing within 30 days. It has been 2 weeks and I am trying to cancel my contract. I also want my deposit back as I have not seen any work thus far. He is refusing to give me my deposit back and has not acknowledged thte fact I want my contract terminated. I started investigating Justin Lanno on the internet and it seems he has lots of people suing him for fraud. Save yourself aggravation and money and never deal with Justin LAnno or Advanced Tech of CT
