Morici Bridal not only does not provide the product or service that you order, they will not refund your money upon request. I ordered a dress 5 months ago and to this day I still do not have the dress or my money back.

I would advise anyone who encounters this store or their internet site, to steer clear. Bad, Bad, business pratices.

Hello my name is KARLA MORICI and I own bridal stores on the USA we find this report to be on my name and its not truth we provided the custumers a goob service thiis particular custumer she order a wedding dress the takes 4 to 6 months to arrive from de designer and all are custumer recive there dresess on time by the time the is on there contract .

Bridal dress scams and the effects on our Society

Janet,

Do you feel brutalized, misled, dismissed or have you had a nightmare and horrid experience with retailers like many other bridal dress consumers nationwide?

Bridal dress executives get away with many illegal acts year, after year, after year because "ignorant" staff attorneys for the Federal Trade Commission are quoted in the New York Times business article (06/27/04) "Finding the Perfect Dress, and actually getting it" as saying:

"To go and sue little (bridal) boutiques all over the U.S., I not sure that would be efficient"

Said Connie Vecellio, a Federal Trade Commission staff lawyer.

HOGWASH! I SAY TO THE FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION ATTORNEY. I HAVE NEVER IN MY LIFE READ SUCH AN IDIOTIC RESPONSE FROM A HIGH POWER ATTORNEY. EVEN IF THEY BELIEVED IT, WHY PUT IT IN WRITING, CONNIE!

The statement above tell me three things:

1. That the Federal Trade Commission knows bridal dress executives are breaking the law and do very little to stop bridal dress executives.

2. That bridal dress executives will read the NY Times Article and know it is o.k. to scam and defraud the general consumer because the respectable Federal Trade Commission staff attorney said it is not "efficient" to address the problem. And,

3. Consumers complaints are not being addressed properly.

Janet, your dresses will probable arrive about a week or two before your wedding which will cause even more distress for you and your family. I know from past experience with Vera Wang Corporation. Many, Many, Many consumers complain that retailers promise their dress early and then provide the dress last minute before the wedding causing all kinds of nightmares for bridal parties and famiies too.

That is nothing new in the bridal dress industry. There are books (Bridal Gown Guide) written about the deception. My investigation leads me to believe that a late arriving dress equal a poorly made dresses. I hope not, but it seems to be a pattern of many complaining consumers.

I sent the following note (below) to another distressed bride and it might be insightful for you as well. Be sure to detail your horrid treatment word for word. Send it as suggested below and to this web site as well so that other consumers will be informed. I would like to hear all the details of your horrid treatment from the bridal retailers.

We need all the complaints we can get from brides or witnesses like their mothers, sisters, aunts, daughters, fathers, etc. who felt brutalized by bridal dress executives nationwide.

I hope the following is helpful, please let me know if I can help in any other way.

I have been petitioning Mr. Gamma for two years to address bridal executives (nationwide) who deceive consumers over and over again like Bridal Town, Kaufman's and Vera Wang as experienced by many ladies.

Bridal dress executives always suggest brides and their mothers are crazy after the retail executive (sales con? artist) makes you crazy with their deception and lies.

Every one who is outraged at bridal retailers nationwide write and tell (Mr. Gamma/address and case # above) that you are maddened his office, the Federal Trade Commission, the FBI, and U.S. Justice Dept. are doing very little to stop these repetitive criminals amongst our Societies nationwide.

Bridal executives are no different from the Enron's, Adelphia Cable's and the Martha Stewarts who deceive consumers for higher "illegal" profits for "THEM" greedy selves.

Bridal dress executives have cause more distressed victims in the year 2004 who feel brutalized by corporate wolves (sales con? artist) who smile at the consumer during the sale and then they lie, cheat, steal and verbally brutalize many ladies trying to get their wedding dresses on time.

This nationwide problem of deception affects many hundreds of ladies complaining in many states about being misled by bridal dress executives.

For the past 20 years the deception has continued and we know that through the repetitive complaints filed by many diligent consumers nationwide each year.

We ladies are powerful to fight back this year by pounding and pounding the NY City State Attorney's Office with many complaints.

Ask your sisters, mothers, grandmothers, aunts, friend to write letters of complaint also, even if they only witnessed (we need witnesses) the devastation bridal retailers cause families expensive weddings and the further damages they cause taxpayers who must waste precious tax dollars addressing many unethical bridal dress executives nationwide yearly.

Even if you do not live in NY, still send your letters of complaint to Mr. Gamma at the NY City State Attorney's office as they are on notice of the nationwide problems that are haunting many women shopping for wedding apparel.

Keep up the complaints this year (2004) and I will keep up the pressure on all the bridal retailers and manufacturers to help us ladies stop the brutal deceptive, illegal act of many bridal dress executives nationwide.

We ladies nationwide are sick of the deceptive sales practices of many bridal dress retailers and manufacturers nationwide and we are here to day to tell you so.

Sick, Sick, Sick and even more sick that the state attorneys and other federal agencies allow it to continue for many years.

Let's me hear from the ladies who plan on writing the NY attorney to stop this repetitive crime for the brides of tomorrow (2005, 2006, 2007) if history of bridal dress fraud provides lessons and knowledge.

The history of bridal dress complaints should tell us a lesson, which is to never, never shop/order expensive bridal gowns through bridal retailers unless you don't mind being misled as to products ordered and further brutalized by retail owners.

Ladies,

Just get a "ready to wear" gowns at the department stores because they are better quality for less price then what is being received from many manufacturers in the bridal dress industry, in my opinion, of course.

Many ladies describe that retailers provide dresses that are too small, too short, to tight, beads and bow falling off as well as describing "nightmare retailers". It is all in the evidence of bridal dress deception/fraud nationwide, in my investigative opinion, of course.
