Kars On King Incompetent work could have done more damage to my car. Lancaster, Pennsylvania

My car needed it's timing adjusted and the carburetor needed it's mixture adjusted. I was then told I needed a cam sprocket replaced. They put in a new timing change and cam sprocket. Without my knowledge they took out my 2 year old coil and replaced it with an old GM coil. They kept the my original coil for no reason that I could think of.

The carburetor work they did was nothing I couldn't have done myself. In fact they completely shut off one side of the carburetor which made my car run horrible. The timing I paid them to adjust was still advanced and I was having problems starting the car. Coupled with the carb, made the car almost unable to drive. I had to spend more money fixing what they did wrong and more time as well.

They had my car for 5 days total and their excuse for not refunding me at least the labor was they did the work no matter the outcome. I could have brought the car back to them so they could fix it. My issue is, why would I have to bring the car back to them again just so they can spend more time on the car than they should need to spend on it. Leaving me without a car and spending more money.

If I want to pay someone to work on my car, especially a so called professional. I expect that service to be on par with the pay. This place is a ripoff, I refuse to bring my car back there or recommend them to anyone at all.

David is the guy that runs the place and he refuses to conduct his business in a professional manner and has all the excuses in the book. Stay away from Kars on King.
