Kelli Cochran - Kelli Marie Cochran Theft, Defacing Property, Fraud Okeechobee Florida

My parents rented a home to Kelli Marie Cochran in October of 2008, at the recommendation of the other tenants who rented the other house that was on the property owned by my parents. At first, she seemed like a model tenant, but then she started to not pay her rent, just like her friends in the other house. My mother called her at the end of March, to remind her that she owed rent plus security that wasn't paid, and was told that a check would be mailed the first week of April. Needless to say, no check ever came. When my mother tried to call Kelli, she got no answer. When my mother and father retained a lawyer to file eviction proceedings, the process server could not enter the property, due to the fact that someone had locked the gate.(this was thursday 04/23/09 when my parents were told about this).

Last evening, (04/24/09), my parents cut the lock to the gate and drove up to the house to check on it. They found it completely trashed. My mother said that her eyes watered when she entered the house. The lights were all left on, and the air conditioner had been turned down very low. There is garbage, rotten food, and stuff thrown everywhere. The refrigerator that had come with the house, was stolen, as well as the ceiling fan that was actually cut from the ceiling!! She even left her pregnant cat!!

My mother does not know where Kelli now lives, but she works at Marcum and Associates. (Kelli's mom is Patience A Marcum). There were very large staghorn plants which were hanging very high up in the trees. They are very expensive, as they were huge, and my dad has seen them priced as high as $1200. Needless to say,, someone climbed all the trees and stole them both at Kelli's house that she was renting, and the other nightmare renters on the other side of the property.

Kelli had a little boy, and my parents are very compassionate people who felt sorry for a single mother out on her own. This woman took advantage of my parents,, and owes them for the things that she stole, as well as over $1200 dollars in rent and security! Unfortunately, the way things go,, my parents will never see a dime,, and will have to spend a pretty penny to pay for all the cleanup and replacing the items that were taken.
