Kelly's RV Kept $960 deposit and did no work Satellite Beach Florida

 On 12/20/2016 I hired Kelly Pope to do some bodywork on my Class A RV. He required a deposit of $960 to start work with the balance of $312 to be paid upon completion. Previously he had installed awnings for us and did a good job so we thought we would use him again. Then I looked up his reviews and became alarmed. We were nearby on Christmas Day so we drove by to check on his progress. We saw the slides were out, tv antennae was up & sewer hookup. None of the work called for any of that and I saw the door of RV open so I called over the fence to him . I asked him why slides were out and he responded with anger and profanity. He couldn't explain and said he was late and had to go. We were going to still have him do the job until the angry phone calls and threatening texts. We couldn't communicate. I apologized for stopping by on Christmas Day but he just couldn't get past it. We asked if we could get our RV . He said he was closed for the holidays and we could get it when he was ready. Then around 6 that night he called to say our coach was parked in the street and would be towed if we didn't come and get it now. There were plenty of bizarre, threatening and profane calls and texts. No work had been started, so I asked for a refund of my deposit. He said he was charging us storage and pick up fee and we were even. I've never had to deal with anyone like this before and hope to spare others the unfortunate experience of dealing with him. Hopefully he will use our $960 deposit to seek help for his anger. Lesson learned...always check reviews first.
