Knight Trans, Forest Park Georgia. I been employed there 3 years now, knight will not pay you correctly, layover,detention, local, unloading etc etc etc,
Been complaining about pay problems for three years

Knight does not finish its employees with weekly pay studs
\Knight will not fix breakdown problems even if its a DOT out of service item
Was Forced to drive Truck 542254 fror three months exhaust leak blowing exhaust into the driver cab had to roll windows down, got really really sick dam near died, forced to drive to to Phoenix Az knight shop before repairs were dont
DO NOT work for this company they are a very very unsafe Carrier and they will steal your earned money.... All of the above can be proven, been driving for over 20 years

I must agree with everything said here. Just the last few months have been getting worse. Knight will steal from you every chance they get, although they don't call it stealing....they call it forgetting to re-imburse you. They are constantly asking drivers for "favors" to either shuttle trailers around or deliver some local crap load. Then when it comes time to pay up they will offer you peanuts. Example.....Last week I had to shuttle empties around to certain customers. From start to finish it took me 5 hours. I was given $15 for my time. I ask them why they though my time was worth only $3.00 per hour. Their response...."That's all we can afford to pay." I told them..."Then I can't afford to do any more favors."
Over this past winter I took a load to Montana. It was -45 below and other trucks were freezing up everywhere I looked. I called into the shop to ask if I could purchase anti-gel to put in my fuel tanks so I wouldn't freeze up. I was told yes and just send it receipt to get re-imbursed. The amount was $15.00 and that was over 3 months ago. I still haven't gotten my re-imbursement and probably never will even though I keep fighting for it. Even though I was given permission and the shop manager signed the receipt I am told..."We don't authorize any on the road purchases." Guess what? Next time I will just let the d**n thing freeze up. It will cost a heck of alot more than $15 for a road sevice call, but what do I care. Why should I try to save this company any money.
Another thing going on recently...They are doing everything possible to make sure a driver will never get his savings bonds for customer service or safety. They conveniently forget to submit it to Phoenix hoping you will forget about it. The drivers that are getting them have to do so with a fight and usually are waiting a minimum of 6 months after they were supposed to already have them.
For now I am staying put because of the economy, but first chance I get I'm outta here. In the mean time I will just do "MY" job. Nothing extra....

everything said by this other knight driver is 100 percent correct!. i have worked for knight out of kansas city for 3 years! everything was fine at first, with great miles. the past year was miserable!. in the heat of the summer, i had to drive with no air conditioning, because i was not by one of their shops!, last winter i had to drive with no heater. well in september 08, i had enough, i ended up in dallas, for 2 days, with nothing, they gave me a local that was not worth my time. well, when i get back to kc, i had everything packed ready to leave. 5 months after i turned their truck in, i found they discharged me fo overall lack of performance. and i was one of the few drivers they had, that stayed out longer! I can personsally vouch for everything this other driver is saying about knight. oh! plus on top of that, i still have not gotten payed for the load back to kc. we really do need to start a class action lawsuit against knight.thank you driver, .
