Kolh's Department Store Worst Place to Work! San Diego, California

Kohl's department store in College Grove San Diego,Ca is the worst retail store I have EVER worked for! When I first got the call that I would be working at this newly opened store I was excited since I had been looking for a job for a couple of months. On the call, they told me that I would be getting $8.15 a hour which is kind of low but, beggers can't be chosers and I need a job. Then they told me I would be guaranteed 20 to 25 hours or more a week plus we get paid every Friday! Sounds good right? Wrong! The managers (except the store manager) don't care about anyone who works there. Since I started I have yet to see anywhere close to 20 hours a week. Then as the Christmas season approached I just knew that I would get more hours because this is there busy season and all retail stores give more hours for the holidays right? Wrong! I have been working 4 hours a week almost since starting at the job. Everything they said on the phone was a lie! Then they say that Kohl's doesn't have the hours to bring everyone that works at one department in to work but, will bring in associates from another Kohl's to work. What is that about? You say you don't have the hours but, you can bring in other people from another store? It's hard paying bills when you are only making $80 a month. Management says the hours you get is based on preformance but, how can you perform your duties if you are only at work for 4 hours, one day a week? Basically what I am saying is that I don't know if all Kohl's stores operate like this but, if you are looking for a job and you come across this Kohl's in College Grove...Stay Away!
