RIPPED OFF, OCTOBER 2010, BY LAKE ERIE HOME INSPECTIONS, TOM OBERLE, PRESIDENT AND INSPECTOR OF MY HOME.  SPENT 245 ON A GUY THAT CAME TO MY HOME AND "KICKED THE TIRES" AND TOLD ME MY HOME WAS SOUND WITH NO DAMAGE. LESS THAN 3 MONTHS LATER, MY HOT WATER HEATER BLEW UP, CAUSED BY WATER LEAKAGE HE SHOULD HAVE CAUGHT. HE ALSO FAILED TO SPOT WATER DAMAGE CLEARLY VISIBLE IN MY BASEMENT THAT ULTIMATELY CAUSED 5K WORTH OF DAMAGE TO MY ELECTRICAL WIRES AND BOX. SIMPLE, ROUTINE THINGS A DECENT HOME INSPECTOR SHOULD CATCH, EVEN ACCORDING TO OHIO HOME INSPECTION CODE. NOW HE REFUSES TO REFUND MY MONEY. REPEATED CALLS EITHER UNANSWERED OR VERY SLOW TO RETURN CALLS. PEOPLE, STAY AWAY FROM LAKE ERIE HOME INSPECTIONS. IT IS INDEED A RIPOFF.
