I  am a 66 year Veteran that has been on every Continent and met virtually every type of personality and seen virtually every type of slick sales scheme............or at least I THOUGHT  I had!!!!Lakewood Land

Company has obviously done many others the same way as I was done........wrong!!! I attended a sale for them in April that was something I was very excited about. I 'thought' I was going to find me a good piece of land at a good value. I drove over from Texas planning on a long weekend. I got into North Georgia on Thursday evening and made plans to meet on Saturday morning and get set to look at the land. NOT EVEN CLOSE TO THAT!!!

This was a cluster of slick 'young' college student sales kids that obviously have no clue to what they are doing,,,,,basically breaking the law by 'Bait and Switch' sales tactics. The other blogs I have read on here are exactly what happend to me! They take you to the land site, (which made me concerned when I arrived learning it was not the actual site of te property) and will not take NO for an answer. There was one lot out of 30+ that was the 5K price. All of the others were much higher. The 5K lot was junk anyway. You could not build on it if you wanted to.

This was terrible experience for me. I was very disappointed. I have since called a realestate agent that specializes in Foreclosure property and found a great deal. I was able to take my time and walk the land and have the soil checked and 'think' about buying it. There is too much land out there at better prices than Lakewood's scheme than to rush and buy a piece of land. Take your time and make it an enjoyable experience. You work too hard for your money!!! You do deserve it.
