Landstar Ligon Absolutely Vicious, Backstabbing, Dishonest Jacksonville Florida

This company has absolutely no moral values, are vicious when you don't do what they want you to do, threaten to hurt your business if you don't do what they want you to do, lie, use intimidation tactics to force you into a completely absurd contract..

I just can't say enough bad things about them. They only double broker loads. They don't have their own loads. They use unlicensed brokers in violation of federal laws and regulations. If you read their rate confirmations, you will see that they demand that the truck driver give up every possible right in order to haul for them.  They must think that truck drivers are stupid. Their rate confirmation contains just one threat after another to "fine" the truck driver if he does this immediately or doesn't do that immediately. 

Their rate confirmations include terms in which they essentially treat the truck driver as if he is their slave who has to contact them repeatedly to tell them where he is and what he is doing. Their problem is that they have burned so many customers that nobody wants to give them loads to haul anymore.  They treat customers with the same vicious backstabbing. So they only offer loads they get from other brokers. The unfortunate customer has no idea up front that their commodity is being brokered by a vicious backstabbing crook who makes no effort to find reliable truck drivers and only seeks out any desperate truck driver who is so desperate that he will sign their completely unlawful rate confirmation with an unlicensed broker.

The customer has no idea that Landstar Ligon is double brokering their shipment and giving their property to only desperate truck drivers and that Landstar Ligon accepts no responsibility at all for the actions of the truck drivers they use. The customer has no idea that Landstar Ligon brokers their loads using unlicensed brokers who put all the liability for every little thing on the trucker driver whose insurance will not cover the liability Landstar Ligon transfers to the truck driver.  So if there is any problem with the haul, Landstar Ligon will tell the customer that it has no liability and that the customer has to look for indemnification from the truck driver whose insurance policy doesn't cover the liability that Landstar Ligon's rate confirmation forces on them.

For example, Landstar Ligon's rate confirmation tells the truck driver that he is responsible for damage to the cargo arising from acts or default of the shipper.  What truck driver will haul such a load unless he is desperate or unless Landstar Ligon is taking advantage of someone who can't understand the fine print on the rate confirmation.

So if there is damage to a load by an act or default of the shipper, Landstar Ligon will tell the customer that the driver is responsible for this damage. And of course, the truck driver's policy excludes acts or default of the shipper. So the customer will have no luck in being indemnified.  But the worst part about this is that the customer has no idea that Landstar Ligon is double brokering their loads and has no idea that the cutomer has no protection for certain types of damage to his property only because Landstar Ligon refuses to accept any responsibility.

BNSF is one broker who double brokers their loads to Landstar Ligon.

So if you are a customer who uses BNSF, you may be giving your property to Landstar Ligon who will deny all liability for damage to the cargo.
