Like dummies, we agreed to a 4 year non-cancellable lease with our agent, Don Hollon, First Security National, who uses LFG as a vendor. Our fault, so no blame there. BUT after my purse was stolen July of 07, I ceased all automatic debits and requested hard copy invoices to pay my lease payment. This worked for 3 months, then LFG began debiting my brand new checking account withOUT my permission! They took the numbers off my hard copy checks! It took me 4 months to notice the debit code on my statement, but then I blocked this access immediately through my banker.

When I confronted our agent (Don Hollon, CEO First Security National) and LFG about the illegal debits, Mr Hollon did nothing but LFG immediately wired me a refund for the debited amount. I was still angry but satisfied, so sent yet another check to catch up on our lease payments.

It was not until 3 months later when we tried to buy a house that we realized LFG had TURNED US INTO COLLECTION for default the very week the refund had been made! I had been paying monthly by check, so called LFG again to explain the error. They promised to take the bad report off if we settled the balance of the lease in cash, which they agreed to do for a set amount.

When we wanted confirmation in writing they said no they could not give it, and the settlement amount increased by almost $500. So we said we'd just continue to pay the monthly lease if they woudl take off the bad report. No surprise - they never took it off. Besides that, they refuse to change our mailing address (we have tried for 8 months to get it changed!) so we get our statements late due to the forwarded mail and we have been assessed late payments nearly every month.

After doing a google search on this outfit, I was absolutely appalled and amazed to find 305 complaints against them on this web site alone, in addition to dozens of other on-line references to their shady dealings.

Where is a Consumer Protection Group when you need one!?!?

My biggest fear is that these guys won't go away. Complaint after complaint states that once your lease is up, even tho you've paid in full, they still charge and still plague credit reports.

How can we get these guys shut down and put away?

Ripped off and angry
