I was approached by a guy in Sainsbury's car park, Redditch. Weds 1 Dec 04 claiming to be an italian national attending the BBC Clothes show at the NEC Birmingham. He claimed to be returning home but did not wish to take back four leather jackets ex display, since he would have to pay taxes and duty. He was prepared to give away three jackets but was seeking a contribution towards his car hire expenses (350). Having showed me an apparently bona fide NEC pass bearing his photograph, his return airline tickets and car hire documents, I foolishly handed over 250. I thought I'd check them out on the web before trying to sell them on and found this website with an almost exact account of what happened to me. Look put for this guy - he's a very convincing crook.
