I live in southern Illinois (very close to Kentucky) and recently picked up a Paducah Sun newspaper. Upon review of the classified section, came across a job, which sounded too good to be true.

I did, however, decide to check further into it, and get additional information. This company claimed it needed two positions filled in my area. One: safety advisors, Two: Manager Trainees. Safety Advisors made a beginning salary of $2500 a month and manager trainees were offered $3000 per month.

I called the number listed, and was told that this info was correct, that this was NOT a sales position, but rather a fire safety and education position, and on top of this base income you were entitled to bonuses. He assured me that you DID NOT work on commission, but that it was in fact a base salary, plus bonus opportunities.

He further indicated that they had recently branched out from Nashville, TN into the Paducah, KY, southernmost Illinois areas, and that with my background (which I had only slighted discussed with him on the phone) he felt I would be a perfect candidate for this job, and highly encouraged me to come in to interview.

He gave me very few scheduling options..a Tuesday or Wednesday only, and further more, he insisted that I must drive to the address listed above, (which is over 2 hours away from my home). I find it odd that a company that claims to have expanded their franchise into my area, would not have an office anywhere closer than that to me.

With all of these things coming into play, I decided to come here and check out this company, hopefully find out that it was totally legit, and continue on with my interviewing process...althought I was highly skeptical, and as luck would have, I no sooner than searched, that I came up with another person who had had their own difficulties with this company, and unfortunately, found out the truth too late, and did it the hard way.

I am involved with a wonderful company currently, and was meerly looking to expand my opportunities and try my hand in other areas. I am telling you, no matter how tempting and enticing these folks want to make this sound for you...DO NOT RESPOND! This is a disaster waiting to happen. Guys, if it sounds too good to be true...guess what, it probably is.

Let us all learn a valuable lesson from Life Safety Company. If you haven't heard of a corporation or business before...research them first. In this instance, it saved me ALOT of heartache, wasted energy, and lots of wasted money.

My sincere thank you's to Rip-off Report.com....you saved me!
