Lifestyles For Ladies Only Deceptive and irresponsible "customer service" from Lifestyles for Ladies Only fitness facility Toledo, Ohio

In the middle of June I entered the Lifestyles for Ladies only on Monroe Street in Toledo Ohio.  I asked a younger female associate what I needed to prove I was moving so I could cancel my contract.  The associate told me I needed two pieces of proof.  I proceeded back into the same location with two pieces of mail with my new address on it.  I spoke with an older female associate this time.  The associate took both pieces of proof, wrote on them and took my membership card.  The associate told me to give it a couple of weeks for my membership to be ended.  She said there maybe one more payment taken out but that would be it.  I asked her if that was all I had to do and she responded "Yes."

I left after being told it would be taken care of but it hadnt been.  Two more automatic payments were withdrawn from my checking account.  I then called Lifestyles and was told to call a woman named Sam who dealt with the memberships out of her home.  I called Sam, left two messages and received no response.  I called some man named Don that Sam mentioned on her voicemail and he never called me back either.

I called Bev, a manager at the facility who told me it was my responsibility to cancel my membership through their finance department.  I received the number from Bev and called the company. The representative I spoke to couldnt find my record.  I called Bev back and told her, she then said she would call them and find out why.  I waited for Bev to call me back for about a week and I didnt hear back from Bev so I called the gym again and asked for the finance departments number.  The person who answered the gym's phone gave me a number. I called that number and they had no record of me on file. 

I called and talked to Bev again.  I explained the situation again and she told me to call "Tracy" and gave me the number.  As far as I know right now, Tracy is taking care of this situation.  I will know more when she returns from vacation.  

I have NEVER in my life, dealt with such horrible and unorganized customer service.  I also dont appreciate a statement Bev (the lifestyles manager) made when I called the last time. I told her that when I had come in the first time I had spoken to an older woman who I then started to describe when she cut me off and said that they have a lot of women who work there, in a sarcastic tone.  When I call a manager after having the bad customer service I experienced and the run around I was given, I certainly dont expect to be patronized by that manager.

Im disgusted with Lifestyles for Ladies and Im thankful for the professionalism of Tracy, the woman I spoke to from the Highlands credit corporation.  (Not a single person I spoke to at Lifestyles could tell me the name of this corporation I was supposed to be dealing with).

After this situation I did read many bad reviews about this particular Lifestyles facility and Lifestyles in general.  Its very unfortunate that if a woman wants to attend an all female gym, that they have no other option but Lifestyles who apparently could care less about their clientele.   As a member, I experienced nothing but rude associates who acted like you were bothering them when you asked for anything.

All I can hope is that the facility will get it's act together and treat their consumers as they would like to be treated.
