I received a check in the mail from this company stating that I was a winner of a canadian lotto for $450,000. I had gotten a check in the amount of $4,750.00. I call the claims broker named Brian Shaw and gave him the claim number at the top of the paper, asked Mr. Shaw if it was a real check and once he said yes, I went to a check cashing place and tried to cash the check. From there I ended up in jail and now have to go to court on Wednesday August 25, 2008 for forgery and theft by deception. I had no idea that it was a counterfeit check and if anyone receives checks in the mail from Canada with the name LINKS FINANCIAL SERVICES on the top, throw it away or shred it because you do not want to end up like me. I hope that this scam ends and those people get what they deserve.
