Liz Benson tried to buy an item sight unseen from us on craigslist Internet

Liz Benson contacted us wanting to buy the Jeep we had for sale on craigslist."She" was ok with out seeing the item to pay full price for it. Said she was sending a cashiers check for us and when it cleared we were to contact her so that she could send someone to pick up the item.
It sounded good so far until she wrote back saying the check was going to have extra money on it for the shippers that we were going to have to send to them.
That is when I decided to look into it andthat is when I found this site.
We have not seen a check yet.

It will be a bogus Cashiers Check - the ploy is to get you to wire the money or give the cash to a third party before the check bounces.
If you ever receive a check - take it to the bank AND DO NOT DEPOSIT IT
Ask the manager to check it out.
Or contact a local branch of the bank the check is from and ask them to verify it.
