I was planning on buying a house. I had a week between poseesion of said house and moving into said house. The house needed painting so I contracted with L&N Home improvement to paint the house. The closing date changed several times so I was in constant contact with contractor. before the closing date the purchase fell thru and I contacted the contractor right away to tell them I would not need the painting done as I would not own the house. The contractor refuned me $500. and told me he had given $400. to Sherwin Williams and would refund the $400. when is CC was refunded. They told me they had prepaid the painter and would contact him for a refund also. I told the contractor that I under stood I may have to forfiet a few hundred dollars for his and the painter's time. The contractor agreed.

As of this date the contractor has only returned $500. Ihave told the contractor multiple times that I would settle for an additional $400. and he could keep $500. for doing NOTHING.
