I logged onto the loveontheweb.net site early july 2001.It offered a free three day trial so i made up a profile and displayed it online. On the third day I got two responses from females asking me to write back. In order to e mail them, a person has to sign up, so I signed up for a month. It didn't take very long to figure out to figure out that I was corresponding with either a fluffer or a computer.[ a fluffer is the term that is used for a woman that get's a male porn actor ready .] In this case and probably lot's more just like this, a person [male or female] persuades you to write back, but before you do you have to pay.

When I realized that I was corresponding with a computer, to both so called women, I sent messages titled ECOLALA that had nothing to do with anything at all and I still got messages back telling me about their day. Then I sent messages like this [ lhg rexrwfbbnlo bbbk ff jh,,b ddchcv mbhihbvbcnb mnhg nj] and then defineatley got back a computer response. Not a why are you sending me this but [this instead] mvcx fcdawrh njkffh bnj . Hello you sent me sdtf nhgvv hgdfgd sru oljhnvcx nghg kjh [the same gooberish that i sent repeated back to me letter for letter.] So I wrote Debra100@LOVEONTHEWEB.NET and asked her if she was a fluffer. I was immediatley cut off and when I tried to log on after that It denied me acess and said that there was no user with my handle and password, even after several tries.

Same Scam that Adult Friend Finder was doing

AUTHOR: Tony - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, February 09, 2008

Sounds similar to the scam that adult friend finder was doing, you get a message before the account expires, you reply and find out it is a robot or spider sending you stuff, not a real person. A lot of these dating sites have the same problems, your getting ready to let you membership expire and all of a sudden there are two messages for you. The one guy with adult friend finder said to the message, "Hey are you a swinger or prostitute baby?" and the spider sent back a message that had nothing to do with his. SCAMMMMMM!!

In the same boat

AUTHOR: Kevin - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, February 19, 2002

I am currently a member of loveontheweb.com and have been experiencing similar, if not exactly, things to the initial complaint. I was a member of Matchmaker.com and was lured to join loveontheweb.com by a fairly interesting and attractive female. It has become fairly obvious to me that this female is not reading my letters and sending some kind of "form letter" out telling about her day.

In fact, I will attach the last few emails. I sent a blank email, to see if I would get a response back at one point and I think they might have a way to check. I have modified the names, I am K and she is M:

Hope your feeling better. I had a pretty busy weekend. Party after party after party. Seriously ready for some down time. But, after that I would like to meet you for a drink or lunch sometime. You up for it?

Hey, how are you? I'm so glad I don't have to work today, I feel horrible.. I think I have a sinus infection again or something like that because my head is feeling awful.
I can't wait to go lay down again but I want to wait for my sinus medecine to kick in first.

Sorry about the blank email. So, how's things? You feeling better? I've been very busy lately. Looking forward to a little downtime. You never answered about meeting sometime. What do you think?

Hey, how are you? I'm fine, finally feeling better from my dumb sinus infection that just didn't want to go away. I am all of the sudden full of energy again so that's a good sign. ;)
I'm going to clean my apartment right now but I should be back in a little while.. I'll see ya.

My last email said something like "are you reading my emails?," and I never received a response. That was three days ago, still waiting on this one....

It is unfair to us, unfair to our clients to post statements from our dissatisfied customers who have abused our system and found themselves locked out after warnings.

Hello,

We were pretty upset to find a report on your site of our web site as reported by one of our members. The person that filed this report was warned several time not to randomly insult and threaten our members for personal information.

It is the nature of pay-to-use singles sites to get abuse of
this type and as the main reason people use our site is the security we provide, it is our duty to remove any threats. When warnings go ignored, a person is deleted weather they have paid or not. This policy is also clearly stated in our terms of use that a person must read before becoming a trial member.

Furthermore, we do not, never have had or will ever allow any "computer generated answers" to e-mails within our system.

We ask you to kindly remove the slanderous "report" on your webpage or post this rebuttal next to it.

It is unfair to us, unfair to our clients to post statements from our dissatisfied customers who have abused our system and found themselves locked out after warnings. We have 5000 happy customers to every one like this.

Thank you.
