I've been attending estate sales for the past year and I can honestly say that the gentlemen who run Lucky Rabbit Estate Sales are true professionals. It is my belief that the person who posted the initial complaint is in fact a disgruntled and  jealous competitor. I will not name the person here, however I will relay information upon which I base my conclusion. While attending this other person's sale, he was rude, drank beer and smoked cigarettes during the sale and used gross profanity in front of women and children. He asked what other sales I had attended and I mentioned Lucky Rabbit. He then proceeded to make the same accusations about them in the most vulgar and disparaging way possible, regardless of the fact that a small child was standing within earshot. Lacking any real complaint against Lucky Rabbit, the person who makes the accusations here continually uses the same inane, irrelevant, and disparaging comments to anyone who will listen. His lack of education and ethics are evidenced by the incoherent and poorly written and spurious initial complaint.

Paul and Tom are lovely people who, employing the utmost professionalism, walk that fine line between giving the shopper an excellent price while generating as much revenue as possible for the estate. They are courteous, patient, well-informed and eager to work with even the most novice or difficult client. It has been a pleasure to work with them. They have saved me more money than I can say and have taught me more about the business than anyone has the right to expect. Most importantly, they rely on their own hard work to succeed rather than posting fictional complaints about a competitor. I recommend them wholeheartedly and without reservation. 

My husband and I have been patronizing Lucky Rabbit Estate Sales for a while now and we love these guys and their wonderful staff. They are very friendly, fair and knowable.  They do “hop to it”!

Last month they did a tag sale during that awful heat wave!  We waited patiently on a line of at least 50 people in the hot afternoon sun; these guys were so concerned they actually handed out cold bottled water to all the people on line. We go to a lot of tag and estate sales and no one has ever done that for us.

I guess because they were pickers before lucky rabbit they understand what it is to wait on the line! LOL

I can see why Paul was a little upset when he contacted me in regards to these false allegations on this site by the poster with the name “JB”

Simply preposterous!!!

Although the original reviewer “JB” mentions the principals of Lucky Rabbit Estate Sales by name I can’t say this is the Paul J. Dunn or Tom Assadi I know!

Both of these gentlemen showed compassion, expertise and professionalism while setting up and conducting the liquidation of my Grandmother’s house. The complainant, JB,  obviously has not done business with Lucky Rabbit Estate Sales. You would be making a big mistake by not hiring these guys based on a false and unverifiable report by "JB"

Paul Dunn and Tom Assadi are the salt of the earth! The comments by the original poster “JP” on this website are blatantly false and a weak attempt to ruin Lucky Rabbit Estate Sales excellent reputation. It’s also worth a mention that they do not charge any fees for their services. No set-up fees, no advertising fees, no employee fees!

"When you have sick parents, you think about all sorts of things. But one thing I never thought of - cleaning out the apt. My brothers and I all live out of state, and I volunteered to fly in to NYC. What a fool! After two weeks, I'd done so much work, yet it was like I hadn't made a dent! I knew there'd have to be an estate sale at some point, but I didn't know where to begin. I'd Google but find sketchy looking companies. Yelp was no help! I don't even know how I stumbled across Lucky Rabbit, but if I didn't, I'd probably still be in that apartment! From the first few minutes, I knew I was in great hands with Paul and Tom. They REALLY know what they're doing. They recognized every collectible in the place and had vast knowledge about pricing, trends etc. They ran the sale with great professionalism, attracted tons of buyers, and made more money than I thought possible. Paul and Tom did an amazing job handling my Uncle's house full of antiques and art objects on Staten Island. If you did not see the pre-setup pictures then you will have to trust me when I say it was three stories of boxes, books, frames, art and collectibles. I live in Georgia and knew there was no way I could deal with the enormous job of displaying, pricing and selling my Uncle's collection. From the beginning I knew that these guys were who we needed to tackle the huge job in front of us. Lucky Rabbit did all of the physical work of displaying the collection. It took them over two weeks working every day and many evenings. They researched every piece and priced things fairly. The best part was the respect and consideration that they had for my Uncle, his work, and his partner. Their staff was friendly and professional as well. It was actually a lot of fun. We still are not finished with the estate but Lucky Rabbit certainly got us well on our way. Thank you Paul, Tom and staff

  Sheesphead Bay Antique Estate Sale 5/25/13

 Grandma's estate which included many antique items and furniture needed to be cleared after her passing. We had no idea where to start, not even an understanding of the value of her numerous things. And more importantly, we didn't have the time or money for an advertising campaign or dealing with individual aggressive buyers or brokers. Of course there are some shady companies, and we didn't want her estate to be sold for a fraction of the value that could be obtained.
