Mackeeper kept popping up unbidden on my computer. I installed a malware blocking program but that did not help. I always ignore the message--often a whole web page that intrudes upon what I am doing, or is there when I close programs... and x out of it.

I have never done a free scan or downloaded anything. A couple days ago I see that it has installed itself on my computer.

I am in the process now of manually deleting it...I would not trust i'ts uninstall.
