EDitor's Comment: Rip-off Report Investigation: Primerica gets a POSITIVE RATING in customer support from Rip-off Report and is fulfilling its commitment to provide excellent customer service. Primerica pledges to resolve complaints and address representative issues. For a long time this EDitor had concerns about Primerica because of the number of Reports about them. For many months Rip-off Report was looking into the company, even before they contacted us to resolve any issues and mostly misunderstandings being posted by competitors. With over 100,000 representatives and 6 million clients, Primerica is bound to be the subject of a certain number of complaints about improper agent conduct, as well as product and administrative complaints. Rip-Off's investigation found such complaints, but importantly also found that Primerica is committed to resolving such complaints quickly and doing everything possible to satisfy its clients. It also takes appropriate action against any of its representatives who are found to have conducted themselves improperly or unethically. We believe that the number of complaints against this company, whether through the Internet or other channels, is small when put into the context of its enormous size. Most big companies would never commit themselves like Primerica has. Read our investigative Report and Primerica's commitment to 100% consumer satisfaction. www.primerica.com provides products and services through independent representatives. Primerica www.primerica.com has more than 100,000 licensed representatives who serve more than 6 million clients in the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico, Spain and the United Kingdom. This individual according to the Arizona State Board of Accountancy is not even licensed to call himself a CPA (IT'S ILLEGAL!!!!) according to ARS 32-747. Unlawful use of designation or abbreviation; classification: It states (this is directly from the law book....A. A person who has received from the board a certificate to practice as a certified public accountant, or as a public accountant issued under the laws of the state, shall be known as a "certified public accountant" or "public accountant", in accordance with his certificate and he may also use the abbreviation "C.P.A." or "P.A.", in accordance with his certificate. No other person, corporation, partnership or firm shall assume or use any such title, designation or abbreviation or any other title, designation, sign, card or device tending to indicate that the person, corporation, partnership or firm using it is authorized to practice public accounting or is a certified public accountant or a public accountant in this state. B. No person, corporation, partnership or professional limited liability company shall when referring to accounting or accounting practices assume or use the title or designation "chartered accountant", "certified accountant", "enrolled accountant", "registered accountant", "licensed accountant", "certified tax accountant", "certified tax consultant" or any other title or designation likely or intended to be confused with "certified public accountant" or "public accountant", nor shall any person, corporation, partnership or professional limited liability company assume or use any of the abbreviations "C.A.", "E.A.", "R.A.", "C.T.A.", "C.T.C.", "L.A." or similar abbreviations likely or intended to be confused with "C.P.A." or "P.A.", except that a person qualified as a certified public accountant in this state who also holds a comparable title under the laws of another country may use such title in conjunction with the title "certified public accountant", or "C.P.A.", and a person enrolled to practice before the internal revenue service and recognized as an enrolled agent may use the abbreviation "E.A." E. If a person violates this chapter, or represents himself to the public as having received a certificate or registration to practice after a certificate or registration has been revoked or suspended, the person is guilty of a class 2 misdemeanor unless another classification is specifically prescribed in this chapter. Each day an offense is committed shall constitute a separate offense. F. The displaying or uttering by a person of any card, sign, advertisement or other printed, engraved or written instrument or device bearing a person's name intended to be confused with the words "certified public accountant" or "public accountant" or an abbreviation of either shall be prima facie evidence in a prosecution, proceeding or hearing brought under this section that the person whose name is so displayed caused or procured the displaying or uttering of such card, sign, advertisement or other printed, engraved or written instrument or device. He should not be confused with a CPA...too many people are being misled into believing he is a CPA with the flyers he hands out (I know of three people who have these flyers) and know of two others who are waiting to hammer him for saying he's a CPA. He tags the "CPA" thing to the end of his name on the flyer to obviously get peoples business. WATCH OUT....DO YOUR HOMEWORK, CHECK THESE PEOPLE WHO HANDLE YOUR FINANCES OUT!!!!!! The rip off report is misleading and inaccurate

Mark Barone is definitely a CPA. He passed the test in Iowa in the mid 1990's. He worked for two top firms until 2001. A CPA is always certified regardless of whether he/she chooses to continue their professional education requirements and keep their license current of let it expire. Therefore Mark is entitled to have this designation on his resume or other documents. The individual submitting this request has not done his homework, and can be sued for libel. Check with the Board of Examiners and you can see who has been certified (i.e. passed the test) and is then Certified for life.
