Master Cleaning air duct cleaning/carpet cleaning false advertising of low price virginia beach, Virginia

Master Cleaning came as scheduled, but their prices turned out to be three times higher than the advertised prices in the coupon I saw in Value Pak.

Whole house carpet cleaning was advertised as $79.99. However, if i actually wanted the carpets to get CLEAN, I was informed that it would be $20 more per room for a stronger detergent.

Whole house Air Duct cleaning was advertised at $59.99. However, if i wanted them to do ALL of the air ducts (i don't have a specially big house), it was $60 more FOR EACH of THREE extra ducts. (Same workers for both services)

So the total cost rather than being about $140 plus tax was to be $360. I expressed surprise, and said that the person making the appointment could have forewarned me of the extra costs before making an appointment. The workers were very polite. "Didn't you read the small print?" asked the one in charge.

Well, I had seen the "Unlimited Vents" in bright red in the ad. On closer inspection, the much smaller print did indeed say the price covered one main duct. However, it was written on a purple background and i hadn't seen it.

Before agreeing to the job, I went to my computer, looked up "Complaints Master Cleaning" and saw two reports on your Ripoff Report site. This helped me make up my mind to refuse the service AND SAVED myself the aggravation.

I showed the ripoff report to the workers, and canceled their service, and suggested they tell their boss there was a better way to do business. They did not seem in the least suprised or disappointed, and left.
