MaxBotix is a manufacturer of ultrasonic sensors, and they are close to bankruptcy. MaxBotix did not pay employee wages to many employees, as their company cash is extremely low.
MaxBotix ultrasonic sensors are made in China, but they advertise them as being made in the USA. MaxBotix ultrasonic sensors use cheap Chinese transducers and other cheap sensor parts and only have a final assembly point in the USA.
The owner of MaxBotix is Bob Gross, and half of the employees are his relatives. There are only about 10 people in the company, and they don't even have an accounting department or an IT department. MaxBotix is very close to bankruptcy, and their company cash is less than $100,000.
Don't do business with MaxBotix, because MaxBotix ultrasonic sensors are low quality and not meant for rugged industrail applications. They are only for hobbyists.
