Mbulu Nzembe is not a bad person

A long time ago I received an email just like the one that is posted. The difference is, Mbulu and I have become friends. I was in need of help at a certain time in our friendship, and Mbulu sent me money without my asking him. He just wanted to help me. So I do not know what all the hullabuloo is about.
He doesn't ask for anything from me except my friendship. Mbulu has been a gentleman and a good friend.
He has admitted to being a nasty person before, but sometimes we have to forgive. Do you think that maybe he is not the same Mbulu Nzembe that was doing those scams? Perhaps he has had a change of heart. I don't know.
I just know that the man I talk with everyday is not the same man that was scamming people. I have also pointed out my knowledge of these scams to him. I, did not insult him, by accusing him of trying to scam me, because, well maybe he did those things to others but he hasn't done anything wrong to me. So, as for me, I will stand behind my friend, and be there for him when he needs me. That's what friends do.
At one point, I even asked him if I could help him with anything and he said I could keep myself and my son safe and to keep my money for a rainy day. Now unless he is the ultimate scammer, why did he send me money? Why did he tell me to keep what money I had and save it for a rainy day? Is that what scammers do?
He is just happy to hear from me. And I feel my life has been enriched by his friendship. This is the way I see it, anyway!
