I have been a mediacom customer for over 6 years, and never experienced these problems before, but now I wish I had kept a closer eye on my bills!

First, when I set up my account at my new location I was told my bills would be around 73.00, oh no. They were more like 80-90. I reported that I was being over charged and they "corrected" the problem by giving me credits every month to bring the bill to the correct amount. These credits would appear on the bill like they were being subtracted from the total, but they never were. If I added up all the totals, the credit was not subtracted when figuring my amount due. The bill just gave the illusion of having the credit. I had 7 bills in a row like this. Every representative promised it would not happen on the next bill, and it always did.

Next, when I called in to disconnect my service, with a two week notice, the represenative refused to do it. He said it had to be EXACTLY 7 days from when I wanted it cut off. After this I started getting calls from the 1-800 customer service number. It would call, ring 1-2 times, and disconnect. They were calling 1-2 times per day! I complained three times before it was ended. I talked to the same supervisor twice, and the first time he was rude.

When I spoke to him the second time and told him he was rude, he started trying to argue with me. Also, every time I asked for a supervisor, representatives wouldn't get one for me. I would have to ask 3-6 times before I finally was given one. The service is TERRIBLE, their billing practices STINK, and the actual product isn't that great either!
