Feburary, 26, 2016, I ran off a MedVed Sales Ad for two white 2016 Expeditions. My husband called the MedVed salesman in Castle Rock, CO stating to get them out that we want to test drive them then buy one of them that we saw on their internet sales ad. We drove the 45 minutes and the salesman was waiting with the two Expeditions we had called him about from MedVeds internet sale ad.

We test drove both Expeditions and decided the XL was too long and we were going to buy the 2016 Platinum Expedition for the MedVed Internet Sale Price of $60,000 and some change. The Ford Credit came with 0% financing for 60 months-if we quailifed or 2.9% for 72 months. I qaulified for the 0% financing.

There was never discussion of you don't get the internet sales price with the Ford 0% Credit.

We agreed on $7,000 for my trade in.

MedVed kept two disabled people there for 7 hours, in chronic pain, and no food.  They did their hard sell of Gap, mechanic and other insurance which we bought just to get out of there(later to cancel since it can only be used at MedVed!) We were not able to read anything we were signing because it was on the computer facing the young, first day, finance boy and we had to sign what looked like a credit card thing at Walmart.

After 7 hours, in pain, taking pain meds on empty stomachs, we were disoriented and confused. I have a TBI and it doesn't take a lot to get me confused. I did question the amount on the Ford loan...and they said that's the way we have to fill this out and it will all come out in the wash!!! But in the end, I didn't get the internet Sales price and MedVed added my trade-in of $7000 into the loan instead of subtracting it.

So, instead of a loan of $53,000 and some change...which after 9 mos of $1062/mo my balance should be $43,000. But, my balance is $50,000 and change.  How can take happen if MedVed gave me, a disabled TBI American, the MedVed Internet Sales Ad price plus the National Ford 0% Credit (which I quailifed)?

I went to the State Consumer Fraud Divison and of course, they just slapped MedVeds hand telling them that they have to give the consumer the internet sales Ad price...a lot of good that does me when I'm out thousand's and MedVed scammed two disabled people...laughing all the way to the bank!

2017, the National Ford Credit is either or...sales price or the 0% but in 2016 it was the sales price and the National 0% (if you quailifed or 2.9%).  I quailified!

Your best bet is to stay away of any MedVed Dealers since they scam the Disabled!

MedVed shows their True Colors

AUTHOR: - ()

Jim, sounds like YOU are an Employee of MedVed and are as Hateful of the disabled as they are!  MedVed took our keys, I asked on many occassions to see the contract printed off...not possible the boy stated...I never signed the initial change in the price change as I wanted the internet sales ad.  Maybe you should get more knowledge about TBI and chronic pain before you type a hateful message about the disabled...it only shows your stupidity. I've always said there are a lot of people who are educated beyond the level of their intelligence...you are one of them!

Jim, you are a hateful person and you work for MedVed who is angry because I sent the State of CO after them!

The Playing of the Violins

YOU were there for seven hours because YOU didn't have the backbone to stand up for YOURSELF. Using the health sympathy card isn't going to work here. At ANY time you could have put a stop to all this to review all the paperwork and you could have stepped in at ANY point to not agree to any of the contract provisions but YOU DECIDED not to do that! They knew that and they knew you were a very willing doormat. Nobody chained you to a chair and nobody forced you to do anything. You went along with whatever they did. This is nothing more than a case of buyer's remorse fueled by using health as a sympathy card!

Just so you are aware, those dealer finance department people are extensively trained to "get over" on the consumer. It doesn't matter if you are male or female, or any race or color or disabled or not - they do their best to make the most off of you in that finance office because that is their job.  I am not defending them at all because I think their methods are despicable.

Having said that, it is up to us as consumers to educate ourselves about the process before we step inside a dealership. The best way to avoid being taken by the finance person is to get financing through an outside source like your bank or credit union before you go to any dealer. However, if your preference is for the zero interest deals, then you do need to use dealership financing.  Make sure the contract is zero interest and the price and terms you agreed to with the sales representative.  The finance person usually adds additional costs to beef up the dealerships profit and the finance person's commission.  It would not be the first time a finance person misrepresented the terms of the financing to get the buyers' signature.

Make sure to read the entire contract. I know they tell you to sign on that little keypad, but all you have to do is require the finance person to print the entire, filled in contract before you sign.  If he doesn't print it so you can read it, then walk out. Your best defense is reading the contract thoroughly and understanding it. If it is confusing, and most are, take it to an attorney before you sign. Better to do that then to be subject to a higher interest rate in writing than what is told to you verbally. These finance people know that anything they say verbally doesn't count because a verbal amendment doesn't override the written contract. It is the perfect definition of saying one thing and doing something else.

Take the time to research car selling and car buying methods, so you know how to counteract the finance person. Is it a shame we can't trust them? Yes.  But we have to protect ourselves against these financial predators.
