On November 12, 2006 my husband and I went to MEL CLAYTON FORD to purchase a vehicle, after looking around at several vehicle we didn't find anything that fitted our needs. After telling our salesman that we were leaving because nothing looked good tous, his manager told us that they had just purchased 3 vehicles from the FORD auction, and that they were in mint condition. He told us that if we were interested then he would knock the price down 10,000 since we were buying the vehicle sight un seen. So we agreed to purchased the vehicle. This vehicle hadn't yet arrived from the auction to the dealership, so we had no idea what this vehicle looked like. After completeing all the paperwork and getting the last kinks worked out, we drove home with our trade. We were told that our vehicle would be delievered to us on monday....Monday came around and i called our salesman and he said that it hadn't went through inspection yet and he would bring it out to me on tuesday. Tuesday morning I called my salesman to see when I was going to get my vehicle he told me that my husband had to sign another contract and that he would be on his way after he went to my husbnads work.
I recieved my van, upon delievery the seat in the van was not latching properly and it had torn carpet, it also had a crack in the windsheild. I was okay with the minor defects because I got such a deal on it. It was in otherwise great condition. In december I called on the 19th to see where I was to send my payment since I had heard absoulutly nothing. The finance departemtn told me that we had to come in and sign MORE papers and then they would tell me where to send it. Being very skepticle, my husband and I went in to the dealership on december 29, 2006..They told us that 2 banks had accepted our loan and that 1 denied us because my vehcile was a 1 ton, and the other bank went bankrupt.Knowing a little bit about banks They don't just go bankrupt another bank buys out there loans.
He told us that we had to give our van back because there end fell through and he was gonna give us a check for our trade. We refused any and all the offers he gave us. He then told us that "THEY " had 21 days to figure something out, my husband in the mean time kept calling and trying to get answers, nobody ever returned our calls. On january 11, 2007 at 10:30 p.m a REPO guy came to my house to pick up there vehicle. They took it and left me with absoulutly NOTHING...Not my trade or even a check for my trade. I have 4 small children 1 of them has severe asthma and I can never tell when he will have an asthma attack, they left me with no vehicle....
