Merrick Bank purchased my acct without notice to me threatened me threatened family harassing phone calls, constant lies tricked and lied to us South Jordan Utah

Like most ppl i was presented with a promise of a low apr credit card from nextcard. I applied, and was give a $500 credit limit. While on vacation, my account went over the limit from an unauthorized charge, when i inquired about this, eventually the charge was removed, but the overlimit fee still applied.

Well thats when the phone calls started, at work, at home, to my fiancee's cell phone even, any place i have ever called from to do any services on the phone with this company. It eventually reached the point after the threats the profane language used by their employees, and the constant harrassment at all times of the day and night, that i had to file a police report, and my fiancee did the same.

Shortly thereafter, after the constant abuse of their employees, my employer terminated me, over excessive phone calls, which caused a derlection of duty. When i contacted the bank about this problem, it was made to sound as though all of this was my fault, and i was a deadbeat.

Then Merrick Bank purchased my account without any notice, including raising my interest rate to an extremely high apr. The phone calls continued with the new company. I explained my financial situation and the fact that my bill was extremely high now, and that nothing would please me more then paying this debt off. Well they then told me that no more interest was building on my acct, and they offered me a settlement. I agreed to it, and before i could make the first agreed upon payment, i received another letter from them stating they had kept their promises, and did everything but call me a deadbeat. Not to mention my account was shown again at the extremely high amount. Now they referred it to a collection agency and i have sent a letter of dispute to them, and filed a complaint with the FDIC.

The only thing i really want merrick bank to do is keep their word.
