#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds

payments

AUTHOR: H - (U.S.A.)

You know after signing your Mortgage at closing that you have a mortgage payment due each and every month. After an acquisition the old mortgage company forwards your payments to the new company for a period of time if you send it there, usually 3-4 months.

Mortgage loans are amortized. Meaning you do not pay additional interest if paying late. It is a set amount with each payment.

Midland sends out letters about a month prior to the transfer informing you of the switch. The envelope even says "IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR MORTGAGE LOAN" on it. While I was there I talked to I don't know how many people who said they remembered getting it, but threw it away thinking it was junk mail. That isn't an error on Midland's part.
