I ordered a dress  that was shown as "Available" on the missesdressy website. The dress is by a well-known designer of formal wear, therefore I expected no problems, thinking a company who carried this designers dresses should be a reputable one.

I was given the option to choose one or two day shipping with an extra charge. I paid the extra for two day shipping.  When the dress was not received in a timely manner, I sent two emails.getting no response,  and then I requested a phone call which was finally received on Friday, the fifth day after the order was placed.

I was told that the dress was not available but "should" be in the warehouse that night. I explained that the order would have to be cancelled because it was too late for the use of the dress. I was told the order could not be cancelled and if I did not take the dress, a fee would be deducted from payment and I could only receive credit, not a refund.

The dress was shipped anyway, after the order had been cancelled because it was not in  possession and a company representative told me it "should" be in the warehouse that night. To say a dress "should" be available leaves some doubt as to whether it will ever be shipped.

The order was cancelled BEFORE the dress was even in possession of the company.  I was again told that I must pay a $40.00 shipping fee when it was the company that was in error, and my money would not be returned because they only granted merchandise credit.

I had explained that I DID NOT wish to order from the company again because it had failed to deliver merchandise in a timely manner, plus the merchandise was not available as it had been stated online. In addition, I would be hesitant to order from the company again based on the service rendered this time.

It was necessary to involve my credit card compay in negotiations in order to have my payment of $520.00 returned.  The credit card company was successful, but it took two months for the matter to be resolved. I strongly advise that one now attempt to purchase a dress from the missesdressy website.
