Modern Bridal Shop Bride beware, take your money, wrong sizes, no returns, non-consistant sizing on identical dresses, Internet

After locating what we believed to be a fairly reasonable website that provided bridal attire and having given the website and bridesmaid's their pick of dresses, 7 dresses were purchased.  It was stated that the dresses ran small, so all the girls ordered a size larger than they normally wear. 

When the dresses arrived, the company stated that there were no returns on the dresses, even though they are a standard item which can be purchased at any time.  Due to the fact that the store had a no return policy, almost every girl had to have their dresses altered (which cost a fortune). 

This was done, even after the one girl called and reported that her dress in no way represented the size she ordered.  My daughter, the bride, elected to order a reverse color dress in the same style for her reception.  As my daughter and I, both living in different towns, had been purchasing items through the internet, we miscommunicated with each other and each ordered this dress for her. 

As soon as mine arrived, I immediately sent a letter to Modern Bridal Shop, explaining the error and simply asked for a refund.  The dress was a standard size 10, no big deal, a common size. 

The wedding was in August, today, the 30th of December, the package I sent them was returned to me, it was refused at their end.  This was a simple error, two orders for the same dress, after we had already ordered 7 dresses.  There were no phone calls, no e-mails, no letters.  They simply returned the dress and refused to credit me for the double order. 

As weddings cost a fortune, it is a shame that a company such as this one, elects to rip off the bride and their families and friends.  There are many companies out there that offer wedding attire, chose another.  Do not throw your money away on dresses that do not fit, no return policy and those that use a cheap and unethical way of refusing a return FOUR months after the item was sent to them.
