We hired Moovers to move us from one home to another. We had a desk with a hutch that was less then one year old and in perfect condition. One of the Moovers crew thought to drag the 200lbs. + desk across our carpet. The result was that one whole side of the desk was ripped off. It's was broken beyond repair. The crew refused to move the desk any further unless we signed a hand written note that we understood if they continued to move the desk that further damage could occur. We had to have the desk moved out that day since the new owners took possession of the home later that day.

We filed a claim with the company just days after moving. We contacted Moovers many times after filing the claim where each time we were told someone would get back to us. 6 weeks later and several phone calls no one got back to us.

We finally called and insisted on speaking to a supervisor or owner. We were put into contact with Caleb Markovich. He claimed that by signing note we released them from any liability of the broken desk and that he did not have to pay us anything. We told him that we would be contacting the BBB and posting our story on sites as this. Mr. Markovich turned that statement into we were threating his company. Where we responded that this is why these avenues exist.  Each time with were dealing with Mr. Markovich (phone or email) he was extremely rude, arrogant and spiteful!

Mr. Markovich later agreed to pay $127 toward reimbursement of our broken desk. 3 months later we have yet to see that. The total cost of the moves was $373, the cost to replace the desk is $286.

As another complaint put it, "This company has non-existent customer service and NO business ethics." I couldn't agree more!!
