On March 14, 2009 Matt Pierrepont and wife sold a 1969 VW bug to my child for $1,850.00. Matt claimed to be a "good business owner and excellent mechanic", an auto technician checked out the vehicle and gave it good reviews. An agreement was made to pick up the vehicle the next afternoon. During the night and following morning Matt had switched engines on the vehicle. Once the money was given to Matt and Wife they stated that the Title to the vehicle was at his work and they promised to deliver the Title the next day (Monday). Matt and Wife left the scene, the car started but ran really rough and when it was later looked at by the same auto technician, there was a problem, much leaking etc. from the engine. An apparent swap had been made, it was NOT the same engine.

We tried to contact Matt repeatedly throughout the week to try to get the Title from them, we were constantly told to meet them at strange places (truck stops) etc., for Title delivery, but Matt Pierrepont and Wife would not show up at the place and time they scheduled to meet. Matt Pierrepont and Wife would not return phone calls, or deliver the Title to the 1969 VW as promised and that was completely paid for.

By Friday, March 20th, the Police were notified and DOL was contacted. Matt and Wife had no business selling that car, they did not have Title to it. There is a lien against the car by a bank and the Pierreponts swindled $1,850.00 from a young adult.

These scam artists should be ashamed of themselves. Please DO NOT do any business with MP Repair or Matt Pierrepont and Wife. They will lie, cheat and steel from you without a thought. Don't believe a word they say even though they "appear" to be honest, hard working folks like the rest of us. If they cheat an innocent child, they will rip you off too!!!

Beware!

MP Repair - Matt Pierrepont

AUTHOR: Anonymous - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, March 25, 2009

- Follow up of the report I placed last week regarding MP Repair and Matt Pierrepont and wife.

My son had bought a car from Matt Pierrepont and Matt "promised" to deliver the Title personally the following day because Matt didn't have the Title on him at that moment A week went by while we were trying to get Matt to provide the Title. Matt kept lieing and putting us off, not returning phone calls and making up stories.

On March 25, 2009 I took 5 hours out of my workday to try and resolve the Title issue. First I headed to DOL and spent 2 hours trying to find out who the lien holder on the 1969 Volks was. The lien holder was an auto dealer in Oakville, WA. I drove from Olympia to Oakville and spoke with the owners at the dealership. I explained the situation. They were very helpful and produced the Title for me, they signed off on the Title and called Matt Pierrepont. They asked Matt to come down to the dealership to resolve the rest of this business. Matt told them that he was 5 minutes away and would be down. After waiting a while they called him back to ask him when he would be down to the dealership. Matt stated that he was working on a car and he didn't have any transportation to get down to the dealership, not for at least 2 hours anyway. We waited some more and the owner contacted Matt directly. She asked Matt if he wanted to get this business done with, she then asked Matt if he would mind if we went to where he was so that he could sign off on the Title as the registered owner to release it to my son who had bought the car. Matt agreed and we were finally on our way to resolve the Title issue.

When we arrived at the barn that Matt was working in, I greeted him, he gave no response. In fact, he did not acknowledge us in any way, he just ignored us completely. I noticed that Matt had lied again, his truck was parked right there in the driveway, behind the car he was working on. And he told the auto dealership that "he didn't have any transportaion to come down and sign the Title". After about an hour of waiting for Matt to say something, the gentleman that I was with asked Matt if he would please take a minute to sign off on the Title so that we could be on our way. Matt said, "I'm working with a customer right now, my customers come first". I said that you, Matt Pierrepont, already received my money and that I suggest he take care of the rest of this buisiness. We were ignored for a few moments more when I stated that I was going to phone the police to come out and help him take care of the remainder of this business. I went out to our vehicle and made some phone calls. During the calls I was beckoned to come back into the barn. Matt had finally (thank God) decided to act and behave like an ADULT (surprise!). He signed the Title to release interest. On our way out of the barn Matt said he was going to call in the license plate number to the vehicle we were driving in and report that we were tresspassing. Matt Pierrepont was back to being himself agian. Matt authorized us to come to where HE was because HE didn't want to meet us at the dealership. The owner of the dealership is the witness, she gave us the directions that came directly from Matt himself!

Moral of the Story...Do business with this nut case at your own expense.
