Mr. Holiday's Property Services & Mr. Holiday Lighting Paid for snow removal, recieved headache instead. Still no refund in sight. Lynbrook New York

I used Mr. Holiday's Property Services this past winter season (2016-17) 2 separate times and both times were problems.  The first time  I used them, I had received a text message from the owner, Brenden McCaffrey, regarding scheduling for snow removal due to upcoming storms.  I was instructed to leave money in  an envelope in my mailbox, which I did.  I contacted Mr. McCaffrey to inquire when my property would be shoveled and he told me he will send his crews out as soon as the snow stops falling.  I woke up the next morning to an unshoveled driveway and snow drifts up to 3 feet high and had to do some shoveling myself to get to work and the ensure our tenants could do the same. 

I called Mr. McCaffrey to ask why no one had showed up and he stated he was having issues with one of his s****.>

Again I left cash in the mailbox for Mr. McCaffrey and again he collected it with no problems.  Again it snowed and again no one showed up to shovel, and later that day while still awaiting Mr. McCaffrey's services the snow had frozen solid into ice.  My family and our tenants were seemingly trapped, though we again managed to get ourselves out of the driveway.  I had contacted Mr. McCaffrey and asked why no one had come again and when he would be able to send someone and he responded that someone will be there soon no problem.  So when I arrived home from work and noticed that nothing was done I contacted Mr. McCaffrey again asking why no one had come and he insisted someone was there and put ice melt down.  Now, my eyesight is pretty good and I've never worn glasses before so I took a look around the property to validate his claims.  Unfortunately it seemed he had lied, no one had put down any sort of ice melt or sand or salt.  Just a glistening ice covered house complete with a glacier for a driveway, we were just missing the typical arctic wildlife.  I sent him pictures of the property in all of its icey glory and he agreed to send me a refund. 

You'd think this concludes our saga, wouldn't you?  lol.  Well as of this writing I have documented texts and facbook messenger conversations of Mr. McCaffrey dodging said refund.   For roughly 6 months I have been pestering him for a refund every week, sometimes multiple times per week to no avail.  I finally gave up (yesterday) and gave him an ultimatum; give me my refund or I will share my experience publicly for all future customers to see.  Little did I know that he had just changed his business name slightly to shed many other similar stories on angie's list and BBB.  He has sent me a few text messages threatening legal action and I hope he is serious about them.  I would love for him to explain himself and the personal attacks in my inbox before a judge.

Anyone that reads this; I advise you stay clear of Mr. McCaffrey and any variations of the Mr. Holiday companies now and in the future.
