I took my car to Mr. Transmission because I was unable to get my car to go in reverse. I was asked to sign a form saying they could look at my car - I noticed $289.00 at bottom of form. I asked about this and was told it would go toward the repairs.

Later that afternoon, Mr. Transmission called and stated that it would be over $2,000.00 to reapir my car. I said this was too expensive for me at this time - so I would come and pay the estimate and pick up my car (the way it was when I brought it in). AJ Hatch (President) said he did not know how it was when I brought it in and refused to release my car until he had it put back together which would take several days. At this point, I knew something was fishy, so I said I would come pay and have it towed at my expense. He still refused.

I called the police to get an escort to pick up my car - when I called AJ Hatch to let him know when we were coming, he said he would let a tow truck come pick it up, but I would have to sign a release form first. The form was to release him from any legalities (because as it turns out - he sabotaged my transmission). I signed the form with a statement "provided all parts are original parts brought it and in same condition brought in" - luckily.

The new mechanic (family mechanic for years) said there is no way this was my original transmission, because if it was I would not have been able to drive it to Mr. Transmission to start with.

AJ Hatch was trying to extort money from me by holding my car hostage and when that didn't work he sabotaged my transmission. What a pathetic excuse for a human being, I hope something similar happens to his mother, daughter, wife, etc. maybe he won't think it is so funny then.

Well first of all , allow me to properly introduce myself. My name is Heather Karr, and I am Amon J. Hatch's granddaughter, and the manager, Michael Santangelo, Sr, was my father. The statements and accusations made are completely false. I worked there for two years and had NO problems with anything like this. And just for your information Ms. Keri, you should probably watch what you wish for, because sometimes the things you say come true. And when they do, karma is not on your side ma'am. As the Bible says, you reap WHAT you sow, you reap MORE than you sow, and you reap LATER than you sow. But what I was really getting at is this, you wished evil upon my MOTHER, GRANDMOTHER, etc? Well guess what? The manager of the store at the time of your complaint, is now deceased. I don't understand how someone like yourself can call another human being a pathetic excuse, because YOU are the pathetic excuse. GROW UP LADY- I am only nineteen years old and I don't even wish evil on people anymore. Hell, I can even type/write BETTER than you! What in the world is wrong with you people? And for you to question the character of my grandfather/family, you've got nerve! My father and grandfather are two of the greatest people I know, so someone must not have loved you enough when you were younger. You make yourself seem like white trash; why don't you quit complaining and buy a new car? You are blatantly calling my grandfather a liar, and you are sadly mistaken.

i too had issues with this company

my college student husband and i also took our car to this mr. transmission in pensacola. we were living on $18,000 a year and needed a rebuilt tranny. they said they could do it in just a couple of days, so we went with them so we could rent a car for fewer days. they tried to not have our car ready on time, but after we called enough times, they met us in their lobby when they were closing with our keys. they had us sign the papers as they drove the car around. then they all left.

when we got in the car, we saw they had cracked our windshield. it looked as if they had put a wrench or something else heavy like that on the hood, raised the hood and it slid down. we called them the next day and they did nothing about it. i even filed a rip-off report a while ago, but it seems to be gone. i contacted the BBB, and they didn't reply, so the BBB ended up dropping my complaint.

please, do what you can to avoid this company. they're liars.

The statements were taken from the shop and sent to the BBB and state. As a result no wrong was found so there for no action was taken by either. Even though we strive to give 100% customer satisfaction we are not going to give away a free Transmission. Mr. AJ Hatch, has reveived Numerous letters of appreciation as well as National Recongition such as the 2003 Businessman of the year award from the National Republican Congressional Committee's Business Advisory Council.

Here at Mr. Transmission #354 we go beyond the customer's Expectations maintaining the highest standards. All of our customers recieve honest professional advice, expert service, as well as a written nationwide warranty which results in customer satisfaction and loyalty.
