My car was towed to Mr. Transmission on 8/28/08. I received a bill for $4,200 on September 20, 2008 the transaction date of the billing notice is 8/28/08, which is the day my car arrived to their garage. This implies that Mr. Transmission intentions were to over-charge me when they assumed my business. The repairs to my car are not completed-the car is still at Mr. Transmission and that is not the price we originally agreed upon. Alan Polson does not do business with integrity, in fact, my first conversation with Alan; he stated that my repairs would be no more than $1500. He called 3 or 4 days later to advise the total cost would be $5692. I told Alan that I wasn't willing to spend that kind of money for a transmission, he reminded me of the interest free credit I got approved through a credit card company they use, I advise him, this is still money that I have to pay back. Alan assured me not to worry that he will work with me, and to give him some time to refigure the number. Alan called me back a couple days later to give me a new price of $4900. I did not agree with this price either. I had my cousin to contact Alan on my behalf, because I am now under the impression that I'm being ripped off.

My cousin called me and in turn we had a 3-way call with Alan, after Alan spoke with my cousin, who is a male, he lowered the cost to $3200, this took place on September 5th. After the 3-way call, my cousin and I remained in conversation about how this company is dishonest and how he discovered Mr. Transmission included repairs that weren't broken in the original quote-all under an assumption that they were broken, in addition, Alan had advised me that 2 of my computers needed replaced and the car needed to be reprogrammed which was a part of the $5962. Neither did Alan know my car was in drivable condition before they got it. I wanted to get the transmission fixed before it completed went out. My cousin also mentioned that he told Alan to put the car back together and we will come get it. Alan stated to him-the cost to reassemble the car would be $1100. It would have cost more to get the car back and have it repaired by someone else, so now I'm at Mr. Transmission's mercy and had to leave the car there for them to repair.

Alan placed the order for the transmission supposedly Monday, September 8th. The transmission arrived Tuesday, September 16th. Alan assured me the repairs would be completed by the end of that week. I called on September17th to verify an exact date; I spoke with John who stated the car should be ready Friday, but to call him by 12 p.m. to confirm. I called Friday 11:30 am and spoke with Bobby. During the conversation, Bobby indicated my car would be completed when I get off work, I heard someone in the background say, no-no it will not. At this point my pressure is high and I grew very angry, I told Bobby that I did not appreciate the way they are handling my business, and I'm tired of the vague dates they are giving, and that I was going to contact the Better Business Bureau regarding their dishonesty. Bobby replied, ok, I will let them know, I advised to have Alan to call me as soon as possible. Alan called back asking me why was I upset because he told me that they were waiting for a part for my car to be shipped. I advised Alan, the only shipment he made me aware of was the transmission. Alan reassured me the week no later than Monday or Tuesday. On Saturday, September 20th, I received the most disturbing bill of $4,200, I called Alan to inquire if this was a mistake, John answered and stated that they were working on my car all day but is missing one part, but Alan wasn't there, this was around 3pm. I called Monday, September 22, 2008 at 8:22 a.m., John answered again and stated that Alan is running errands and will be in shortly. Today is September 22nd, 4:09 p.m.; I have no updates on my car and no callbacks from Alan. I called the credit card company, to dispute the charges; I will be mailing an inquiry today. Mr. Transmission is a rip off and dishonest with business. They will give you the run around and they are not clear on their quotes. It is disturbing, stressful, and unethical the way they run their business.
