I paid Mr. Transmission $2200.00 for rebuilding my transmission in a 2001 Toyota Highlander, one month after repair I started having trouble with the reverse but not seriously enough that it would not go into reverse. It only happen if I hit it hard to go back. I reported this to them immediately and was told that I could continue to drive it until I was able to get a rental because they would have it for about 3 to 4 days. Even before this I had filed a civil suit for a rental I had from them previously working on the transmission I was told that it would only take them one day for this repair to be done, but it took them one whole week and I had to get a rental for that week, the manager stated that they would cover the rental, but only tried to give me a $100 check. I won that case and they have to reimburse me $699.83, which I have not receive to this day. I went in and wrote a letter to the judge to let him know that I have not received my money yet and is waiting on a reply from the judge now. On Friday 29th October 2010, my car began to not go while in drive. I made it home and called Mr. Transmission to let them know that the car was not pulling and was put on hold by the manager Kenney, he came back to the phone and told me that Shane the owner had cancelled my warranty which was a 12 month, because I had continued to drive the vehicle. I stated that Kennedy told me I could continue to drive it until I get the money for a rental, he had also stated that to the Judge and I spoke with Moran Industry about it to. I do not work and is only a student so I have to wait for money from Pell Grant and Student Loans before I can do anything and the lady Jackie at Moran Industry said that is okay just let her know when I would have the money for a rental. So now my car is at AAMCO here in Athens Ga and I am having to pay out $2808.83 to get the transmission rebuilt, this is over $5000.00 within 8 months.
