My Lil Reminder ripoff Order processing delays changed order forgot items over charged you name it Brampton Ontario

In September 2006 we saw on television a new product called My Lil Reminder. It was advertised as a way to remember groceries, events, etc.

We tried the website and found it was based in the US (on a Canadian station). Eventually through alot of back searching we found the Canadian address and contact info for this company.

After phoning their number (long distance from where I live) and spending over 30 minutes on the phone making my order for only 3 of the sets of 2 of this item, I was offered a chance to upgrade to the higher priced model.... declined.

Offered a wallet and other items, declined them.

Offered express shipping - declined

Offered additional batteries - accepted.

I eventually signed off thinking my order was placed with a credit card.

A week ago the product arrived (1 set of 2) - it was the upgraded model (not the one I ordered). It was sent express shipping (how after almost 8 weeks?) and it was also sent without the batteries. What should have been a $14.98 item was now $51+ and didn't even include what I ordered.

We had to wait for the credit card bill to come in and contact them today.

This person (whoever it was) said that we had ordered only 1 of the higher end model, no batteries and express shipping!

Then we were informed this item has a recording time of only 60 seconds - the lower priced model is 30 seconds! Something not clear on their website and certainly not worth $15 for 2!

For $51 you can get a hand held small recorder and get cassettes and do the same thing without running out of time!

We are returning these My Lil Reminders as of tomorrow back to their source. Demanding a full refund of all expenses and on top of that are now reporting that they are a rip off company and scammers.

Think about it. I spent 30 minutes wading through their multiple menus and 'additional' items to purchase and still they didn't get my order right. Over charged, lost order, incorrect items, you name it. What a rip off.

Do not order from the Canadian portion of this company! I don't know if the US based one is as bad - but this one is a scam!
